Beau would watch for a second as the countdown started, already slipping into position on his Fletchinder for their scout mission. And then, as per usual, the utter lack of coordination that he figured would characterize this team reared its head as massive winds began to whip to and fro across the area. taking advantage of the wind currents, the flying duo would slip into the air with a trail fo black dust whipping through the winds as they did so. Spinning in midair before they moved on to scouting out the nearby area, Red Baron would fire off an Ember attack into the trail of Powder that had been left behind by Beau, setting off a chain of explosions throughout the myriad wind currents that aimed to disrupt the teams that managed to weather the winds

Almost immediately, Cera could sense other presences she hadn't picked up on initially; probably Pokemon being sent out. She'd pick up on the Sweet Scent too, something screaming at her to move before something worse happens, but the Icy Wind from Freth seemed to do something about it. At least enough to make her snap out of the immobility and brace herself for the sudden gusts from Syn's Metronome-turned-Whirlwind. Once it cleared up a little, she'd follow after Sundaria and the other girl she was practically dragging out of the area.

But not before forming an Aura Sphere and flicking it in Granbull's direction, hoping to disrupt it from the move they were about to use. "They're better quiet," she remarked in passing, continuing to hurry out of the area.

[Master Dojo]

As the loud bang happen, Roserade was about to use sleeping powder but then felt the chill of Freth's Icy Wind as half of Team Galar ended up with a flinching chill. The team was shocked and was about to counter but Team Snagem bolted before anyone else could. But before any other interuption, a huge gust of a Whirlwind spun inside the dojo. The Granbull already closed it's mouth so nothing would fly into his mouth. But out of carefulness, Cera blasted it with an Aura Sphere sending it flying at its trainer.

The explosion caused by Beau would be the final cap off on all the chaos, most certainly causing considerable delay for the rest of the participants. The last thing Beau would hear was the owner of the dojo, Master Mustard, shouting profanities at him.

[Forest of Focus]

(4/5 Dens remain.)

(Participants here: Sundaria, Cera, Lillie)

"W-What?!" Lillie said shocked as she was picked up by the Solgaleo hybrid. She returned her Clefairy as she was trying to make sense as to why she was being helped. "Your from Team Snagem? I didn't see you in the last competition. You feel familiar, like a friend...any who, thank you for getting me out of there." She said as she pulled up a map on her bracelet. "There's a lot of dens all over this island that we could go to. But I would say the best place for some distance right now would be Forest of Focus." She said pointing the direction they should go. Once they made it to the entrance of the Forest, Lillie noticed Cera tag right behind them. "Looks like it's still your team and myself." She said as she looked up in the sky and noticed several red beams in the sky. "Five dens and that will be 200 watts." She looked at Cera and Sundaria as she held her fist close to her heart. "Thank you again for getting me out of there. But...I need to do this for my two team mates left." She said as she ran off by herself to get to the dens. In total there were five dens in the area, but one was active with its pillar of light piercing the sky. Looks like Lillie already got to one, leaving four. Better get to the dens before she does, or have the chance on looking around in the tall grass for some Brilliant Pokemon. Though was Lillie really that much of a threat?

[Fields of Honor]

(6/6 Dens remain)

(Participants here: Deolux, Brian, Odd)

Deolux and Brian would escape the dojo relatively easy, finding themselves standing in the Fields of Honor, the cool sea breeze sweeping over them coming from the west where the expansive ocean laid. Directly ahead of them across the river they could see numerous dens, four of them in all and on this side of the river were two. The two on this side would be easy to quickly snap up before the other teams made it out but surely by the time they got to those dens they may find themselves cornered between their opponents and the ocean and river. Meanwhile the other four were further away but perhaps safer in the short term but it did make them easier to spot in these wide open fields from the dojo. What would they choose?

Speaking of the ocean, just at the bottom of the slope that lead away from the dojo, where grass became sand, a certain Ghost Channeler was coming to on the beach of the Fields of Honor, a strange looking Slowpoke having made its self comfortable on his back. After a look around Odd too would note the four dens on this side of the river, unable to see the other two. He was in a prime position to snap one up easily but he would notice another tempting thing; the nearest den was active, a pillar of red light piercing the sky. Dare he risk it for the watts, least he get dragged in?

[Fields of Honor Rolls]

8. You scored a den easily. +50 Watts. Unfortunately an opponent caught up to you. Choose result 9 or 10 (Pick the opposite of whichever your partner got.)

9. Too slow! A very annoyed Team Kalos trainer attacks! Accelgor Hybrid Raoul uses his superior speed to speed right past you, spin around, and throw a flurry of Water Shuriken to keep you busy as he snatches up one of the two dens on this side for his team. "Salut. Bon travail. I would have done the same back there in the dojo had my team not been so useless. Now I need you to be less troublesome." He said, raising a clinched fist as he start to build up a Giga Drain. It was still early but you could feel your energy starting to leave your body. If you didn't do something quick you'll pass out. (Dens -1)

10. Too slow! A very annoyed Team Kalos trainer attacks! Pokemon Trainer Tierno has his Hitmontop Rapid Spin right up to you, tripping you and sending you for a hard fall. While distracted Tierno was able to snatch up one of the two dens. "Man, you guys ruined the dance I had prepared for the beginning of this round. I called it the Armor Step, had an entire routine prepared and everything." Tierno sighed, Hitmontop spinning up to his side. "Eh, no matter. Still more steps to the grand dance of the Isle of Armor relay so I can't sit here wasting time! Hitmontop, Twister!" He ordered as he began to run away. The Fighting Pokemon would begin to spin upside down rapidly, faster and faster until it conjured up a dragonic Twister and sent it straight at you. (Dens -1)

Deolux and Brian (Option 2: Other side of river.)

8. You scored a den easily. +50 Watts. However a wandering Malamar attacks! [Battle!] (+3 Evo Points.)

9. Much to your disappointment you were caught before making it to any dens (or right after you got one)! Swooping down from the sky came a hybrid on Team Kanto, a teen Spearow Hybrid. With a kick from the air he knocked her over before landing next to a den with a flourish of his cape and turned around to face you. "The Sparrow has received a second chance at proving himself and he isn't about to let this opportunity pass him by." He said, taking the watts from the den with his Challenger's Band before preparing to fight. With a flap of his wings a gust of wind was blown at you which carried with it some strange feathers that seemed to sap your strength as they touched you. A Feather Dance.

10. You scored a den easily. +50 Watts. However someone spotted you...a powerful force could be felt, such so even a normal human could detect something was wrong. Your instincts told you to hide, now!

[Soothing Wetlands]

(5/8 Dens remain.)

(Participants here: Freth, Beauregard)

Freth and Beauregard were able to get the furthest away from the dojo, finding themselves meeting up in the damp lands of the Soothing Wetlands. Thanks to the relatively flat land and their superior eyesight they deduced there was a whopping eight dens here and from what they could tell no one else has made it here. Jackpot.

They would each have plenty of time to snatch up a den and score 100 Watts for their team right away. However, by the time either of them could have time to get anymore a pair of challengers approached, from Team Galar.

"Go! I'll hold them off!" An Alcremie hybrid shouted as a sweet smelling scent washed over the pair, both breathing it in deep before too late, dulling their senses and reflexes. Not again! Bolting past the hybrid named Beatrix came a strange looking rodent-like hybrid, short and sporting a flower barrette, again with the Decorate empowering business.

Without a word this new hybrid, a Morpeko hybrid, made a flying leap which turned into transforming its self into a violently spinning wheel of electricity carving a path through the wetlands, the hybrid almost clipping a den as it snatched up those watts without stopping and then turned to head in the direction of another. If they didn't stop it all Galar would claim the rest of the dens here in no time.

(after rolling a 10)
Deo quickly crossed the river hoping to snag the nearest den. It was easy to find and he quickly came across its only inhabitant, a defeated fomantis who was very weakened by the fight it had with something...

"Here now, I think I can help you" Deo said to this wounded pokemon and was easily able to capture it and also grab the 50 watts for the tournament. All was good, but he had a nagging sense of something very bad is coming his way. He decided to hide behind a few rocks in the cave as he knew it was coming to fight and deo quickly ducked out of sight, knowing well he could end up fighting something BIG. Knowing all too well this could be very much the end of it for him he would only use the X-Ray vision he had as an known ability to further help him, and maybe even the fact that he is very fast if he could only know where this uneasy feeling is coming from. Let alone what it was...

Brian followed after Deo as the Luxray hybrid made his way across the river. While it was more open, they stood a better chance of getting a drone to their teammates, thanks to the number of dens he could see. That wasn't to say, however, that they wouldn't be ambushed on the way. That being said, he was keeping his wits about him. It was a good thing he did, too, because not a minute after Deo had picked up the 50 watts, he could feel something coming, something powerful.

Deo had the right idea. From the force that was approaching, this was something they might not be able to deal with on their own, so he followed the hybrid's example, and hid behind a nearby cluster of rocks, not far from Deo. Something was telling him this wasn't an ordinary opponent, and he wasn't exactly keen to find out what they wanted. All he could hope for now was that whatever it was just passed them by, though he knew that wouldn't be likely.

As the two hid the powerful force grew greater and greater as it neared. The energy this thing was exerting was awful, foul, and just wrong and with it a feeling of unnatural wrongness followed with it. The pair would note that the wild Pokemon had gone silent, long ago in fact, not even a Rookidee chirped. It was certainly an alarming revelation that even the wild life was startled by the presence of this...thing.

That was when they would spot it, the person and thing, that Ryan barely escaped from once and raved about it days ago. The same things that summoned the Gigantamax Kingler against some of the Snagems in the Wild Area. Slowly walking towards their general direction was the mysterious white haired man, his face mostly concealed by a visor of some unknown technology, how he saw through it was anyone's guess. While his presence was unpleasant it was the creature that followed beside him that was the true source this awful feeling. Bipedal, fins like a fish, two legs like a bug, another two like a dragon. This creature was unlike anyone Pokemon they had seen before and just a quick glance at it told them it should not exist, that its very existence was wrong. (Type: Null)

It didn't appear the man and his monster had spotted them yet, but they were headed in their direction and before long it was certain they would be found. That had to do something, anything, to distract them and give themselves a chance to flee. Both of them knew for certain they didn't stand a chance, any attempts to fight him would be in vain and something told them it wasn't just getting kicked out of the tournament that they had to worry about. No, this person carried with him an intent to do more harm than just knocking trainers out of a tournament. This was bad.

Odd would take another moment to look around, making sure Syn was fairly close to him before the duo were to begin truly exploring their surroundings. They were on a beach but it didn't seem they were too far from the Dojo. Surprise, surprise. At least they hadn't ended up in the ocean. "Ok... We're not doing that again." The Channeler scolded the teacup Pokemon. "I'm no fan of Metronome so don't go pulling any of that in the future, got it?" He told the Ghost-type as he assessed their surroundings with a more keen eye. He'd identify several raid dens in the immediate area, one of which appeared to be projecting a beam of bright crimson light into the sky and, for a moment, he was tempted to run from it. He seemed to recall something about dens that glowed like that having a Dynamax Pokemon living inside of it at the time. Something about their presence making the natural glow more focused or something. He couldn't remember the specifics but it meant the den could be dangerous. But it was also close.

"I have other Pokemon on me... If there's a Pokemon in there and it attacks us... I can send out another of my more experienced battlers to help deal with it." He reasoned, having missed the encounter with the Dynamaxed Kingler part of the team had encountered on the last day in the Wild Area. "Let's go for it!" He told his partner, rushing toward the den and snapping up the available Watts as quickly as possible, hoping he could avoid confrontation for now.

Requiem of Whyspers

Odd would snatch up the watts before whatever lurked inside that den had a chance to take notice of his presence or before the erratic nature of the Dynamax energy inside decided to pull him in, thus scoring for his team a nice 100 Watts. He would note on his Challenger's Band that already (thanks to Beauregard and Freth) Team Snagem had accrued 200 watts as a team, now one of them just needed to find a drone to activate and on top of that he was halfway there to meeting his own personal goal of 200.

That said he would not have much time to consider these thoughts as he finally registered the foul malevolent force not far from where he was standing, just up the slope moving away from the beach. It was awful, completely unnatural and artificial. Whatever it was Odd of all people could feel that its very existence went against the laws of nature. A true abomination. And it was accompanied by an equally malicious Channeler.

Whoever, or whatever, they were they were headed in direction of two familiar life forces, his teammates Deo and Brian. Upon closer inspection Odd would see they were hiding but not for long, soon this strange Channeler and his monster would spot them if nothing was done. But what could Odd do? He was a powerful Channeler himself but he knew without a second thought, or even seeing what this person was capable of, that he wouldn't stand a chance against him. It wasn't the raw power he carried with him that told him fighting was not advised, but the wrongness, like a toxic substance you steer clear of. But he had to help his teammates.

Odd would sense the incoming danger long before he saw it, followed immediately after by picking up on the souls of of the new Luxray hybrid who had joined the team during the Tournament(or had it happened just before? He couldn't remember just now.) Deo and Brian, the youth who'd entered the Wild Area alongside the rest of the team on the first day with Krysta.

It seemed the dangerous soul nearby was moving toward his teammates and he was certain they'd need his help so he recalled Syn to it's ball and made his way toward the pair as quickly as he was able. Unfortunately, the closer he got to them, the more he felt of that dangerous soul nearby and the more it freaked him out. Sure he was strong in his own right but this was something else entirely. He was able to determine they were a Channeler from the feel of their energy but it was something else entirely compared to his level of power. This Channeler was insanely strong but the energy they exuded was far too familiar. The more strongly he sensed it, the more he felt himself slipping away from the present.

Before he knew it, he was back at the Lost Hotel. The Ghost-Master-in-Training could hear nothing but the sound of blood rushing in his ears and the distant thrum of his heartbeat as he quickly looked around, trying to bring himself back to his senses. Nothing was working, however and he could feel himself beginning to panic. This wasn't right. At this point, his eyes fell upon the hidden Deo and Brian, however, he saw only one and neither of them were the right person. "Geist!" He exclaimed, spotting the limp body of the deceased Count Geist where Deo was hiding. Rushing toward him, Odd bent down, his breathing shallow and rapid as his panic mounted.

The approaching Channeler continued it's advance but when Odd looked around, he saw not him and his freakish Pokemon but the banish extra-dimensional hybrid, Dull, stalking him. "No.... No! I got rid you!" He insisted, grabbing his Artifact as blue flames sparked to life in his hands. He'd feel it soon as he attempted to use Wicked Wick without Adagio present, burning his own spiritual energy for the short time he managed to keep those flames alive.

In his panicked flashback, he'd throw the flames at Dull, only for them to phase through the hybrid without harming him at all, causing him to lose his focus and snuff out the flames in his hands entirely. "This isn't right... I know I can hurt you!" Glancing back over his shoulder, he'd find himself looking not at Geist's corpse but at the hiding Deo for a moment before he was consumed by his twisted memories once again and Deo was replaced by hallucination of Geist's body sitting upright, dead, empty eyes staring at him for a moment.

"It's your fault!" Geist screamed into Odd's face, causing the channeler to jump and stagger backward, dropping his Artifact as he fell to his knees.

"I know! I know! I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough!" Tears spilled from crimson eyes as Odd lost his composure at last. He wasn't getting out of this by himself. That Channeler's energy had set off something inside of him that had been ready to burst for quite some time it seemed.

Seeing this human display a visible flashback and with it a unique display of such. Deo, who was hiding from this... abomination, took this chance and not only scurried away from this 'thing' but made sure to get Brian and this human and his unique thing with him, and run a good distance away. Hoping this thing will be distracted enough to be confused or disoriented. Either way, the only thing on the mind of this Luxray hybrid was one thing, SURVIVAL!!!

Freth rushed into the wetlands taking note Beau was close behind. Apart from him, however, she noted that the both of them had free reign of the wetlands for the moment. Wasting no time, she started to rush her way through the brush and waters, trying to find a spot where she could accumulate the watts for the Snagem team. Until finally, pay dirt. She rushed over to a den, taking careful note if the den was occupied or not, then started to rake in the watts.

As she was doing so, she perked up, her instincts going off. Company was coming. All over the place. Surrounding this place. Apparently teams had the bright idea to start coming into this place. Noise started to pick up within the forest. Opposing team members trying to coordinate something after scrambling after the chaos from the initial starting gun. She was sure that she was going to get called out if any one saw her. When the watts were collected, she started to rush off, but it was a bit too late. Sweet Scent started to fill the wetlands. She was told of this. Day 2 in the Wild Area. Some weird hybrid using sweet scent in the Galar region. It had to be her. That said, she was also told she wasn't much of a fighter either.

Freth wanted to hold her breath, but by the time she actually thought of doing so she already caught a few whiffs of it. Her senses were scattered and felt rather sluggish. She had to brace herself upon a boulder close by for a second. She had to get out and peg this hybrid; take her out of the fight. One fell swoop if at all possible. If nothing else, she needed air. She took a hard leap straight up, taking flight, trying to get a view where that hybrid was at.

Sundaria sighed and rubbed the back of her head after she let Lillie go, looking mildly embarrassed. “I... We’ve met in another reality, at least. Though.. Unless you’ve maybe met an actual Solgaleo here? I dunno, you’re not the first person to say that to us, either way. Anyways, good luck to you Lillie.” The hybrid would wave after Lillie before digging for Litten’s Pokeball, looking at it. “This does make us wonder how this reality’s version of me is doing, however. She’s not a person I’ve seen to be associated with her normally… ” she muttered, staring absently at the shiny surface of the orb before shaking her head and turning to Cera. “Anyways, we should probably get moving, shouldn’t we. Shall we?” Sundaria smiled at her companion before heading off in a different direction from the Alolan competitor.

Walking around in the forest would prove more immediately fruitful than the hybrid had planned when a little green and pink creature came flying out of the brush flailing its leaf-like arm appendages, though it appeared to have a radiant golden aura surrounding it. “Huh. Must be one of those radiant Pokemon.... Or whatever they were. Well then. Suppose it’s time to get started, then!” The Pokeball she held would be thrown out, sending out the small black and red cat to face the Brilliant Fomantis. “Alright, Litten, ready?” The Litten looked from the Fomantis to Sundaria with half closed eyes before stretching and yawning, curling up and sleeping. “Ah… Litten?”

This reaction from Litten would give the Fomantis an opening to attack first, coming in with a flurry of razor sharp leaves, which certainly seemed to annoy him and got the Litten to stand up and yawn, licking his paw where it got cut. Otherwise, the cat didn’t seem too phased by the Razor Leaf. “Uh… Let’s start out with something simple, I suppose. Litten, scratch the Fomantis!”

Litten would look at Sundaria for a moment before casually trotting up and giving a very weak looking slash with his paw, almost like he wasn’t trying. “You have got to be kidding me…. Come on, Litten! I know you can do better than that!” The apparently unmotivated fire cat would be stared at by the small grass Pokemon, confused for a moment before lightly slapping back with its petal arms. Litten retaliated with another instance of the lazy scratch, with which Fomantis once again slapped back very lightly with its petal. This would continue on for at least a half a minute until finally the grass Pokemon finally wound back and attacked full on with a Slash, knocking back the small black cat.

“Well, that finally ended,” Sundaria shook her head, looking down at her Litten as he was getting back up. “You ready to right back? How about an Ember!” The cat shook itself before giving a look at his trainer, narrowing his eyes slightly. However, he turned his head back to face the Fomantis and took a deep breath, exhaling and spitting out a few small embers at the plant creature. Fomantis flailed about to try to put out the flames on it, running back and attacking with a cross shaped slash from both arms with a muted green energy once the flames were put out.

“Now we’re getting somewhere. Litten, if you can take the hit, take it and counter back with a Fire Fang!” The cat braced for impact with the X-Scissor, chomping down on the petal arm with flaming jaws. Litten would throw the plant mantis away from itself before throwing itself into the air and landing on the Fomantis after a couple of flips in the air, looking rather acrobatic. And with that final display, the Fomantis stopped moving, just lying on the ground out cold. Sundaria would walk over to the Pokemon and put her arm out with the Challenger Band to absorb the Watts that the aura was giving out, and then picked up her panting feline. “Well, you did a good job there at the end. Though, what you did there reminded me of someone I saw in a Battle Royal in another reality’s Alola. How does the name Cassidy sound?” The Litten looked up at the feline hybrid and mewed, eyes lazily half open. “We’ll take that as an acceptance then. Pleasure to meet you, Cassidy.” She’d scratch the cat behind his ears, a smile on her face dropping slightly. She thought she sensed something, but only very faintly. “Hm… Let’s just keep going on I suppose, until something else proves me wrong. Light knows I can be paranoid sometimes."

Brian had no idea what was causing the foul aura he could feel, but he knew it wasn't natural. No Pokemon he'd interacted with before had an aura that evil. Even the wild Pokemon had gone silent, a sign that this thing wasn't supposed to exist. Deciding to take a chance, he peeked over the top of the rock, and what he saw made his blood run cold. What was that thing? That was unlike any Pokemon he'd seen before. To say it was unnatural was an understatement. That thing was absolutely barbaric.

He pulled his head back behind the rock as the man and his monster, for lack of a better word, drew closer, praying they wouldn't see him or Deo. There was no way he could fight that thing; even Deo wouldn't stand much of a chance against it. This trainer meant business, and not in a good way. The only thing he could hope for was that someone would happen along to take the trainer's attention. Who should be close enough but Odd, it seemed, the Ghost Master seemingly having a mental breakdown about something. While the trainer wanted to ask what was wrong, he wasn't able to get the words out before Deo started running, and he was quick to follow, already having recalled Sparx. While he wasn't as fast as Deo, he did help get Odd away from the area, sensing that his breakdown had something to do with the malicious aura the Channeler and monster were putting out.

"Yeah, let's." A quick nod came from Cera before she took off, searching for the nearest den she could feel. She'd find that closing in on one and getting a bunch of Watts put into her Challenger Band wasn't difficult at all; if anything, it was almost too easy... she had the feeling she wouldn't want to stay around for long, even if all she could see were the occasional wild Pokemon wandering around. Maybe the occasional energy of someone else's presence, but only briefly. Probably another trainer that happened to be in the area or something. Before she left the den's vicinity, though, she would spot a cluster of some odd mushrooms and inspect them.

They had a reddish hue that stood out in the lush greens that made up the rest of the forest, and oddly big compared to what she'd expect as the norm. Maybe they were safe? "Wait, what are...? I don't think I've seen anything like this. Hopefully they're not dangerous, but there's only one way to find out other than looking them up." Carefully plucking them from the ground and leaving them to float beside her, she'd move from the den and continue her search, keeping as much of a read on Sundaria's energy signature to make sure she was still nearby. She noticed something seemed a little off, prompting her to speak up.

"Hey, is everything alright? There isn't anything we should be worried about showing up, is there?" Whatever it was, Cera was failing to sense it.

Beau would simply give Freth a curt nod as he glided along his own explosive-generated updraft. While it was far from his original idea, at least it seemed like the teams of two or three thing was being followed. Taking a moment to look at Red Baron, he would nod to the Flying type before diving downwards, zipping past one of the dens to collect the watts and clear the area before its potential occupant came out to say hello. Drawing close to Freth, Beau was about to resume a climb back into the sky when an unfortunately familiar scent crossed his nose and faltered him enough to force a landing.

Barely managing to roll into the minor crash to avoid serious injury, the Vivillon hybrid would groggily turn towards the pair of hybrids as they split up duties for claiming this area themselves. Noting the aura of electricity surrounding the one racing around, Beau knew already that he couldn't just leave Red Baron or Freth to do the intercept. But he needed fresh air and a strong wind if he was gonna do it. "Red Baron, Tailwind!" Beau called out, a strong wind coming from the skies to alight on his and Freth's backs before he took off with the new source of lift and fresh air.

He knew he couldn't compete in the race for the first den, but he was willing to bet that Sparky wasn't expecting any sudden interruptions. So he divebombed at increased speed for an intercepting crash right along the direct route to the next den. Which was totally due to its effectiveness and not because fine motor control and precision focus were still shot due to the Sweet Scent.
