I heard the arrows before they even appeared, quickly I pushed Rocco aside and although he pleaded for me to do otherwise I walked closer to the source of the arrows. They were light arrows and there were a few of them.
"Everybody DUCK!" I shouted behind me and immediately my crew ducked to the ground. I backed away to do the same and then the arrow hit me, it went in the front and the tip poked out of my back. I looked down at it, my breathing had been interferred with and I was gasping for air. Rocco came to my aid quickly. He caught me as I fell.
"Oh, s**t," He muttered, grasping me to his side,"Come on baby, you've got to hold on a little bit longer." Rocco looked at the rest of the crew, none had been hit, only their mistress. All of the men looked up at their lady with fear and concern in their eyes. I looked up at Rocco, I was slowly fading, but I felt that this had something to do with the prophecy, why else would it have been so easy for me to be hit.
"Rocco, I love you," I managed to breath sadly. He shook his head furiously.
"No, Ri," He hissed through gritted teeth,"You're not going to die, you can't die. I love you too much." I pulled him towards me and kissed him gently, with the last of my strength I grasped tightly onto his arm. As I faded completely my grasp fell. Rocco pulled my body close to him, tears escaped his eyes.
"NO," He shouted loudly. Then there was silence in the alleyway.
