If anyone launches a nuke, then it's all out war. The world will be thrown back into another Depression, possibly for decades. But no, the world will never end.

It would do more then cause a depression. It would be more of a question of how many people would be left around to even have an economy. If nukes are used, then people will start nuking back, and that would end up destroying a lot of life, both human and animal and plant. The radiation would last for a very long time as well. I would guess that a large percentage of the world population would be destroyed in a nuclear war.

dreams into nights yami iran has announced that it can make enriched uranium and can make nuclear weapons within six months or so ive heard on the radio do you think they will attack us to provoke a ww3 between the u.s. and middle eastern countries? I wish not. We shouldn't have nukes. We shouldn't have war but we do. I wish it not but we are stuck with it. It is human nature.

the end of the world need to have a definate WORLD and a definate END to have an answer. by End do you mean on life on Earth? and by world do you mean earth?
if so then eventually the Sun will engulf our planet eventuallly, but at the rate of our technology we should have enough knowledge to be on a different planet by then and we probably would have built something along the lines of Noah's Ark by then as well.

I'm not sure... I wouldn't be surprised if things would end for the Americans soon though. With Bush as the president anything disastrous could happen.

It's not the end, but i think we're witnessing the preparation for the biggest war this world will ever know. then afterwards, the biggest peacetime this world has ever known. (i believe it involves jesus' intervention.)

BarZadok It's not the end, but i think we're witnessing the preparation for the biggest war this world will ever know. then afterwards, the biggest peacetime this world has ever known. (i believe it involves jesus' intervention.) So, let's assume that a giant war occurs. Presumably, it will be a nuclear war. I agree that it likely will be the largest war, but then the question is, will there actually be survivors? And then, if there is a nuclear war, I would assume that there would be a giant period of peace just because there would not be enough of an infrastructure or a population to start a war between current day countries. I do however, think that if there are survivors, there would be wars between those groups because I do not think that much of the remaining food will be eatable. I do think that there will be wars, they will just be on a smaller scale.

I do think that there will be wars, they will just be on a smaller scale. well, in the bible, it says a serious part of the population will perish, I think like one to two thirds, it's been a while, but after jesus intervention, there will be one more war 1000 years later, in which all who trust God just need to go into jerusalem and be saved. but after that one all living beings will be judged. it's in one of the 20's chapers of revelation.

Ah, but even without consulting religion, I believe that a large portion of the population will perish. To me, it just seems like the world is building up to another world war. I can't say that I want another world war, but I do think that there will be one within my lifetime.
