((Woah! Thanks for catching that Bishop, it totally sliped my mind... sweatdrop I usually have a house rule of you can reroll your 1s if you roll your first hit die.
To make this easy we'll just drop one of your 2s Silver and change it to a 6. So simply add 4 to your current total hp.))

((What if, from now on, someone rolling stats simply rolls 12d6 in the first and second posts and then breaks it down in the third post? Example following of fifth level Barbarian lets' say.))

Str: 16 (lvl 4 increase) Dex: 13 Con: 14 Int: 12 Wis: 13 Cha: 7
(horribly scarred and uncivilized results in a low charisma score)
{Edit} HP = 44 (12+22+10)
Three posts instead of seven?

MrJimmy ((Wow, that was quite creative. And space saving. Great job Shadow.)) ((Thanks. I figure it's easy enough to just group the numbers together in order of appearance just like they'd have been in multiple posts. If they allowed 24 dice you could do all the stats in one roll but sadly only 20 dice. You could do 3d6 per stat but then people might be rerolling more often.))

((Yeah 4 seems to result in higher numbers, and it's just how I've always done it.))

((Personally I've been into the Point buy system myself lately. 25 points to distribute to stats, all stats start at 8, and each stat increase costs the equivalent of its modifier or 1, whichever is higher. So if you have. . .)) Quote: Human Cleric of War 25 points left Str: 8 Dex: 8 Con: 8 Int: 8 Wis: 8 Cha: 8 Str: 13 (5 points) Dex: 10 (2 points) Con: 12 (4 points) Int: 12 (4 points) Wis: 15 (8 points) Cha: 12 (4 points) Total of 25 points used to get those stats. The reason Wisdom took 8 points is because to go from 14-15 costs 2 points instead of one since the modifier is +2. Now if you have racial modifiers then it just changes the time when you increase or decrease the cost. An elf starts paying 2 points for Dexterity at 16 instead of 14 but pays 2 for Constitution at 12. I suppose the easiest way to describe it is "The first 6 increases cost one, then two for 7 and 8, then three for 9 and 10, etc." The reason I like the point buy system is because every character is created evenly but how the player wants it to be. You also can't have lower than 8 without racial decreases. The drawback is high rollers can't get all 18's. (which makes it too easy to survive anyway. rolleyes )

((My friend coaxed me into buying BESM d20 stare , as well I have read enough d10 system, so I know what point buy is sort of like, although both of those systems are a little different from what you just described. I dunno how much I like point buy, after playing BESM and finding out how insanly overpowered it can get, i decided taht I like leaving it to chance.)

[OOC]Well the Point-Buy system is actually in the DMG, heh. I always thought that the point buy left the characters a little underpowered, though. At least with the default (read: in the book) allotted number of points.[/OOC]
