Only a couple more hours until I can get off work. Then I'll be heading to the shelter's staff and volunteer picnic. Hopefully my fellow co-volunteers will still be there by the time I arrive.

Charity tilted her head, sensing Anathema staring intently in her direction. It wasn't that Anathema was staring at her directly but rather above and around Charity. She was seeing Charity's aura. Or at least as best she could. "Why am I having difficulty seeing your aura?" Anathema finally asked. "It's almost like when I try to see the auras of the angel and demon." "What's the phrase..." said Charity, thinking. "We're two birds of a feather?" Anathema looked at her in confusion. "Do you know of the Nephalem?" "You mean the offspring of angels and humans?" "That's Nephilim. I'm Nephalem. No Is, just an A and E." "What's the difference? Offspring of demons and humans instead?" Charity chuckled. "No. I'm the offspring of an angel and a demon." "That sounds dangerous." "That's how both sides like to think of us. We're quite rare to be perfectly honest. Hereditary enemies and all that, you know. The union of angel and demon has created a third essence. We exist as half angel and half demon, and yet as a fully new entity. As a result of our lineage, they love us... and they fear us. Within us is the trembling balance between love and fear." "If angels and demons are enemies... then how does such a pairing happen?" "It's ineffable." "Ineffable?" echoed Anathema, a slight acknowledging smile appearing on her face.
"The war between heaven and hell ended with the Apocalypse-That-Almost-Happened. The new ending will not be between angels and demons... but between the celestials and the mortals. Stronger united than divided." "But... so... the angel and demon... at the bookshop... you... them..." Anathema didn't know how to ask the question without asking it straight-forwardly. "Well... they did have to get a wiggle on," smirked Charity.

"Who are you?" "Demon to some. Angel to others."

Oh, oh... I have to mention this. On Friday, during the game night at the library, we played a game called Catchphrase. One of the phrases I had to get my team to guess was "War is Hell." Totally went with a Good Omens route with describing it... well, not directly, but it was how I figured out how to describe the phrase.
Me: "Alright, the first word is one of the Four Horsemen."
Other Person: "Four Horsemen? Alright... well, there's Death, Pestilence... um... The White Horse one?" Me: "They ride a red horse."
Other Person: "Red horse... War?" Me: "War. Now there's three words. War being the first. The last word - opposite of heaven."
Other Person: "Hell." Other Person: "War Is Hell?"
