Sometimes I end up doing the opposite thing while watching movies. It depends on which one it is Like, one time I decided I would watch Nick & Norah while writing a paper, because I need SOME kind of noise and it was a familiar enough movie that I felt like I wouldn't be compelled to actually -watch- it.

..I was so wrong. I watched the whole movie. my paper ended up being turned in late.

Nah, I prefer "baking a cake". That was one a friend and her cousin used all of the time, and I bake much more often than I paint.
What are you doing for your birthday?
Baking a cake =<

I can knit and "watch" Invader Zim because I've seen it so many times. I can actually do things while watching shows I'm familiar with, but movies and things I haven't seen before... not as much.

x3 Baking a cake...nice.

I really like Nick & Norah. :3 I've wanted to read the book, because I really really really like both Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.

I haven't seen Nick & Norah... I'm going to watch Stardust over the weekend, though. The book was so cute heart
I love the library.

I enjoyed Stardust, too, both the book and the movie. I have yet to read anything by Neil Gaiman that I haven't liked. (Not that I've read much.)

I'm still slogging through the Xanth books.

Xanth? I'm unfamiliar with this.
I'm reading Weaveworld by Clive Barker in between all of my stuff for class right now. But I saw a book at the library when I was getting movies that I really want to get. It's by an author that I had to read for a class that I actually enjoyed, but it sounds like part of the plot of this novel has to do with people who can change their gender?

It's a goofy fantasy series by Piers Anthony. I think there are...35 books so far? I'm only on 16, I think. Maybe 17. I've been reading them in order. They're fun, and absolutely loaded with puns.

That's...really strange sounding

I really enjoy both Stardust and Nick & Norah, but haven't read either of the books, unfortunately.

Uh-oh. Puns! Between my family and the ATG, puns are a very important part of my life xp
PostPosted: Fri Feb 24, 2012 6:25 pm

Every pun imaginable. Seriously.

I like the books because they cheer me up. They're so ridiculous. When I first started reading them, my thought was, "What in the hell is this?."

But I can't stop reading them. They're not serious, but they're clever, and imaginative, and just fun. It's a nice escape from all the negative stuff that's happened in the last couple of months, and I'm grateful that the books exist.

Piers Anthony sounds familiar... What else has he written?
Oh, and I'm going away for now because my roommate wants to watch a movie. We got Paranormal Activity since I've never seen it, and I suppose we're going to be in the dark to watch it because that's just how you do these things. Oh god, watching The Descent in the dark was just... Only horror movie I've ever screamed at. Gollum, why did you have to go and have a family? Ahhh!

Love you!
I'm sorry that life has been mean to you recently, Tae. I hope things look up for you soon.

xd ********, I laughed so hard at that.

Thanks. Life hasn't been mean, it's just been...life. I'm fine. Enjoy the movie. smile

I'm such a wimp. I don't watch horror films, I just wiki them.

Anyway, hullo.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one doing that, Invis. xD

Worst one I ever heard about was probably Martyrs. Or maybe A Serbian Film. Not sure if those are horror, exactly, but I was horrified by reading the descriptions.

Edit: Apparently they are both considered horror. Thank you, Wiki.
