I have about a page and a half of this short paper left, then I have to actually do something to this website I'm making so that it isn't a bunch of blank pages that say "dodododododo" on them.
Sup ATG?

So, I made a damn tasty soup. Squash, carrots, lentils, peppers...
And I didn't manage to explode it all over me, either, unlike last time.

That does sound delicious, Tae.
We're making rotisserie chicken, corn, and roasted peppers right now. Despite being vegetarian, I think I might eat this chicken. It's cage-free, all natural, etc. So no hormones or processing. Which is why I stopped eating meat in the first place.

Yeah, I'm primarily veg, too, but I will eat meat every once in a while, especially if I know where it came from a relatively humane farm.
I love roasted peppers.

We have mini sweet peppers. They're like candy, but better for you. So good roasted in the oven with some olive oil and a little salt.
We have a bunch of bagged salad kits. I think I'm going to use one, but use the strawberry vinaigrette we have instead of the stuff it comes with.

Wow... you know you're tired when you read someone is making porn instead of making corn... sweatdrop On that note, Hard Core Corn So, I'm going to be making either a cheesecake/cake or some tea cookies this week. Need to decide before we go to the grocery tomorrow. My friends think it's funny that I pronounce grocery like "grushry". Does anyone else say it like that? Just wondering...

I have a request for advice, ATG!
I'm wanting to turn vegetarian after Katimavik for primarily health reasons (a little moral too), and for now I'm just enjoying and saying goodbye to eating meat by waiting until after Katimavik before going veg. Lyndsay, the vegetarian in our group, has told me that if I don't have the dedication to quit now, obviously I won't actually be a dedicated vegetarian. I'm eating healthier in Katimavik than I was outside of it, so I don't see a problem with holding off for a little while when the main motivation is health. It upsets me when she says this, but maybe there is truth behind it? I've been a vegetarian before, and quit when I decided I was being one more for my friends than for myself, so I think I can do it again. I dunno, what do you guys think? Should I quit now? Am I just taking her too seriously?

I think you're taking her too seriously. "Dedication" with something like your food choices is really only significant if you have a weight loss or fitness goal you're trying to achieve. Deciding to be a vegetarian for health purposes is a bit different.

On the one hand, there's no time like the present to start eating healthier, and going veg can be a great way to go. On the other hand, a lot can be accomplished simply by reducing your red meat intake and being choosy about how you buy and prepare any other meat (and food in general) that you eat.
I think you would be better off gradually easing into a vegetarian diet rather than simply eliminating meat completely one day and trying to stick with it. The transition will be more natural, and you'll have plenty of time to adjust.
I've found that there can be a lot of nastiness in the vegetarian, er, community (for lack of a better word), with some of the more zealous individuals choosing to b***h about those who are perceived as being less "dedicated". Instead of applauding someone's decision to eat less meat and being supportive, they harp on them if they don't adhere 100% to a meatless diet. It's really counterproductive, not to mention incredibly petty. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about any veteran vegs who question your so-called "dedication". They're just projecting their own insecurities on you.
If you would like any veggie recipes to try, there are several of us here in the guild that have been veg for a while. ^__^
