Joshua slept himself out, with only the odd nightmare to disturb him. On the whole, he slept fairly well. He blinked blearily at the brightness in the cabin, guessing it to still be morning, though he wasn't sure what time. He sat up yawning and rubbed his eyes, looking around for Tianara. When he found her, he smiled slightly. "Still awake?" He asked, trying to wake himself up. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Tianara had settled herself on the foot of the bed. She turned a shadowy gaze to him when at last he woke up, and smiled a little. It didn't reach her eyes. "Yeah," she replied. "Must say, you didn't miss much." She rubbed her forehead absently. "Got a bit of a headache coming on."
Her eyes rose to Joshua's again. "What now?" she asked, with a brief smile. "Shall we go back out to the water and see how the others weathered it?"

"You've been up for a long time and been through a lot. I can't say I'm surprised if you have a headache." He pushed the covers off him, swinging his legs to the floor. "I can check on the others if you want. You shouldn't push yourself so hard." Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Tianara looked at him, honestly surprised. "Oh, no," she said. "I'll come with you." She got to her feet and pushed her hair back out of her face impatiently. "Sorry might be able to do something about it anyway, at least until I can sleep tonight." She couldn't quite hide her confusion - she wasn't used to so many people being worried about her over such a small thing.
At his last words, she shrugged. "I can stop pushing myself when this is over," she replied. "In the meantime, I think I owe them at least my full attention."

Leading the way outside, he glanced up at the sun, already well above the trees. "I guess I slept quite a bit." He murmured to himself. He made his way up the shore line, kicking off his shoes to wade into the water. It was still cool as it hadn't been warmed entirely by the sun yet and he found that it helped him wake up a bit more. He reached out his mind, trying to feel for the merfolk tenatively. He tried to do it softly, not sure if they were awake. He knew Tianara said they woke with the dawn, but what if they were too tired? Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

((OOC: Last post - I'm off to bed. Good night!))
Tianara had no such compunctions - she was sure they were awake. As soon as she felt strong enough, she'd wake them. She wished she could get rid of the clothes (she really didn't like getting Joshua's things wet), but with Joshua there...well, it was pretty clear to the girl that he felt awkward when she wasn't fully dressed. She'd work her way around it.
Running out into the water up to her thighs, she dived in, soaking herself entirely and bringing colour back into her face. When she surfaced again, shaking back her wet hair, she looked about five times better than when she'd gone in. There was a sparkle in her eyes that had been absent since she'd gone into the cabin the night before.
Turning to Joshua, she gestured. "Come in!" she called. "It makes you feel so much better!"
Relaxed and even mostly aware again, she turned her attention to the merfolk. With a smile, she reached out for them mentally. Their response - well, Nezik's, anyway - was immediate, and within minutes he appeared from underwater. "Hi," he said brightly. "So, anyone get any sleep at all?"

Joshua had to laugh, watching her go straight into the water. He was glad though to see how much better she looked. He pushed off the bottom, swimming out to meet her, though he didn't dive. "It certainly wakes you up." He agred with a smile, feeling refreshed in the water. He always had loved the water.
He was glad to see Nezik's prompt and cheery response. It helped to ease a small feeling at the back of his mind about how the merfolk had fared. "We all got some, though Mac got the most." They'd all slept at some point during the night between attacks. "I only just got up myself. How'd you guys fare?" ((He looks normal again))
Mac slowly opened his eyes, and somehow felt different. He could have sworn he saw shimmers before he fully regained consciousness. He ached a little, but he was alright. The floor wasn't exactly the comfiest spot, but he was alright. He positioned himself upright and ran his fingers through his hair which wasn't even messy. Looking around for the other two, he realized they weren't there, "Hmm, I wonder where they are?" he asked himself.
He stood up and walked outside and saw them in the distance, still slightly lucid dreaming. For some reason he walked right out to greet them, "Heyy" he said slightly tired.

((OOC: We'll try, I suppose, but since I get on so rarely these days, I like to take advantage of all the time possible.))
Tianara grinned brightly up at him, not at all offended by his laughter. She knew she made a funny picture; she didn't care. It felt good, and wasn't that what it should all be about?
Nezik glanced between the two of them. For a moment, there was a question on the tip of his tongue. Then he let it go. He was in enough trouble already. Instead, he elected to answer Joshua. "Pretty well - Sorry and Narcis scared the Dark One off first go. And I don't blame it," he joked. "There is nothing more terrifying than a starry-eyed Siren."
Tianara cracked up. "Really? I don't believe you," she announced. "He's always so stoic."
"That's what you think," retorted Nezik. "You didn't have to sit with them all night and watch them be all coupley and weird. I think I may be scarred for life."
Tianara was laughing too hard to answer, and it was around then that Nezik noticed Mac. He waved cheerfully. "Morning!" he said. "Bunch of lazybones, all of you. We've been up since dawn."

Mac dismissed his comment, "Yeah yeah...I had a night" he smiled. Walking up to the shoreline, he gazed out at the open sea, and then at Nezik. "I need to take a dip" he said as he waded out into the shallows. The water felt like touching an extension of himself. He began to dive, and he inhaled for the first time. It was like a breath of cool air.

Joshua had to raise an eyebrow at Nezik. "What? Narcis? No way, not him." He didn't seem to believe it. He'd barely seen the Siren crack a smile, let alone act all starry-eyed. He couldn't help but laugh at the mental picture he had. He waved a greeting to Mac but he was too busy being amused by Nezik to really say anything. He had to wonder what the merman had been about to ask, but decided against it. He wasn't sure he really wanted to know anyways, from the look he'd been given.
Joshua shook his head and returned his focus. "So where are the others? Did they already take off for the day?" He glanced around, almost as if expecting the others to appear. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt
