Then she was all like "Do you have photos of your new place you would like to share with me?"
The request was just so random and out of the blue. Like my first reaction to seeing it was: "Why the hell do you want to know what my place looks like?" Yes, I know people are curious about my new place and what not. But... to be so forward about wanting to see it like that just seems... rude? Like... I'll share what my place looks like when I'm good and ready. Not right now when it's still a mess in some areas because I'm still unpacking or like for my Kitchen, everything is pulled out of some of my cupboards because I'm dealing with a sugar ant problem. xp

I think what bugs me too is instead of letting me share what interests me, she goes and tries submitting her own style for the options she offers. She did that when she tried offering purchasing a couch for me. The options she sent me was so not my style.

"Okay, I'll buy this […] but this is just a start."
That's not how gift giving works. It's supposed to a simple gesture that is a brief interaction. Not make it seem like an obligation to request for more stuff.
Especially when I really don't need that much. I'm pretty set on the basic needs.

How about getting rid of my ant problem? Think you could help with that? Aside from the ant traps I've already set out. No? Okay.
Ugh... I thought I was almost done with the ant problem. But last night I checked the traps and they were crowded with ants again. Almost thought I was done with them because I hadn't seen any in a long time. *sighs* I just want to be done with the ants, so I can put everything in their cupboards again and have my kitchen counter space open again.

Good afternoon.
Aside from my lunch break, I'm finally taking a breather after working non-stop on my usual tasks and one side project since this morning. Thankfully today has been going smoothly and the shift is going by fast.

Yesterday when I was talking with my Mom about how the interaction with my Aunt has been a bit awkward because of how she approaches things regarding my new place, she made a statement that made since. "She's probably wanting to help you out in this part of your life because she didn't get to do it with the kids that were in her life because their relationships weren't so great." I guess I can see how my Aunt might be trying to satisfy that inner need. But my Mom also understood how I felt about the whole thing - that instead of a nice gesture, it was coming off as more of a nagging obligation.

Ugh... always something. Just had to turn the toilet off in the men's restroom because a resident notified me it tried flushing but just came back up and overflowed... and it was still flowing over continuously. Having the caregivers take care of getting it cleaned up because the amount of water is beyond me and I couldn't get the toilet unclogged. xp

I applied for the Team Lead position at Regal. One of the managers - one I respect - inquired if I wanted to apply. So... I did.
It's one of those "Eh, if I get it, I get it. If I don't, no biggie" situations. I'm not really wanting to stay with the theater... but the increase in pay and new leadership title will be good. So... *shrugs* We'll see.

Only a couple more hours until I'm done with my shift. Then I can head home - after stopping to grocery shop - and relax.

The problem of looking at other people's cosplay WIP is being inspired the ideas and ending up with a whole list of possible cosplay ideas that may never come into fruition. Like NoFlutter has been designing fairy versions of the sailor senshi and I've been seeing various cosplayers WIP photos of their outfits they will be debuting at Katsucon in relation to it. So, lately my creative gears have been turning going: "What would my own senshi look like if she was wearing a similar themed outfit?"
A bit hard to do when you only have two or three full images to look at and snippet sneak peeks of the other senshi. xd

I was so lucky and found the perfect dress to wear for my Critter group's "Feywild Ball" later this month. I was at a stagnant spot trying to figure out whether I should do two particular characters (Mollymauk or Yasha) utilizing dresses I already have or try finding a blue dress to do Allura (who I've been wanting to do more, as I want to identify as that character among our group aside from Keyleth).
I was almost worried the blue dress I found wasn't going to work because the size number on it didn't match either of the ones I typically work with - American and British. But when I looked at it, I was like... "But this looks like it would fit me just fine." So I tried it on and it was a perfect fit. And a good price too. That's two times Ross has saved me from disappointment by having the perfect dress waiting for me to find.
