Why are we doing this? Don't we all know from our newbie, CB and questing days that within 10 of the highest or lowest numbers is impossible? Dice are different from random numbers, because of probability of all 20 random numbers being 1s is bad. confused
~Metalic_Noodles what? are the dice really different from random numbers? Statistically every number has the same probability of being drawn, unless the dice are biased. Its just that we are aiming for any one of about 40 different numbers, which means that we have a 10% chance of getting them. Which is kinda low, but higher than i expected. wait, it says that roll will be between 20-400. So we have a 10.5% chance. Ish.
I'm not too good at these, but here's my try.
First, you have the odds of the first die, 1-20, and even percent of getting any.
Same with each individual die. So a 1:20, or 5% (Is that right?) chance at the 1 or 20. (I'm just going for all being the same number.)
That is chances, or whatever it's called, statistics... w/e
There is another, the one called 'lick' the one that says 'we are about due for red since there have been head 3 times in a row now', I think this one is called probability.
Now, I'm not completely sure on the details, but I'll try.
Guess how this might work:
1/20 times 1/20, which is 1/400.
Which done 20 times... seems waaay off. O.O *smoke from calculator*

Anyway, it's about the likelyhood of an even happening twice or more, against the likelyhood of it not happening the next time.
Umm... Flipping a coin is a 1/2 or 50% chance on heads. Each and every time. But the chances of heads twice in a row is less than 50%, because you are risking the other 50%(tails) again. SO ya... I think the next time, while you have a 50% chance of getting heads again, the probability is reduced, so it's more like a 25%? chance... damn.. I forgot how to do the math on it. But I did explain it. 3nodding sorta maybe...
