[Maya Freana]

"Was not thinking it'd be that strong." Maya muttered, shaking it off now.  

[Valiant Fenris]

Fid took the cup from her and handed her a cup of water he had brought. "This might do ya better."  

[Maya Freana]

Maya smiled in thanks and took the water, seeming much better off with that. "Sorry." She murmured, taking a sip now as she looked to the halfelf.  

[Valiant Fenris]

Fid took a sip from the wine. He didn't like the drink much, or any other strong drink. He didn't show any look otherwise though. Whiskey was the only thing he would drink. "For what? As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to say that."

"For causing you so much trouble the last few days..." Maya murmured, looking at her reflection in the water.  

[Valiant Fenris]

Fid waved his hand. "Fate plays with our lives, yet there is always a silver lining. Find it, because I see it." He smiled and handed her a book. It was a book that little ones used to learn reading and writing. "It would be good for you if you learned more of our language, that way you can learned our customs at a more relative ease."  

[Maya Freana]

The drow took the book, flipping through the pages slowly to get a feel for it. It seemed simple enough for her level. Though she wished she weren't so inept with the language and culture.

Fid watched her flip through it for a while before getting up to leave. "I have my things I need to do. Stuff to unpack, items to take out of storage."  

[Maya Freana]

"I'll be here." Maya muttered in response, knowing that if she attempted to get up again, some old woman would come yell at her to lay down. At least she could pass the time with the book and attempt to learn something while she couldn't move.

Fid began looking for old pieces of armor buried in the forest area surrounding the village. Each was wrapped up so as to not get rusty or dirty. Unwrapping each piece carefully, he counted. Everything there. A breastplate that had a back guard. Gauntlets, Steel plated boots. A steel plated belt. medium weight for a human, but light for him.

Once Fid left, Maya began reading the book. Even though she knew how to read, it was still a struggle for her to work through the words. Ninety seven and she was learning how to read. It was a little amusing and a little sad to her at this point, but Maya was a fast learner, so as she read it slowly became easier to her.

Fid packed his armor in his room and went to go do chores. He was behind on milking the cows and gathering eggs.

The moment the sun went down the next night, Maya was out of the house, walking around the village to stretch her legs and work her strength back up. There were a few humans still out, chatting, eating, drinking, and a few were dancing, but it was mainly adults. A few glanced her way as she passed by, but she ignored it, studying the environment and interactions from a distance instead.
