You suddenly see a clump of Thread. Your dragon wheels towards it. With a flash of hot fire, you manage to catch the whole clump, and turn it into harmless ash. And they say the Queen's Wing doesn't do anything, pfft. You'll prove them you're just as worthwhile as any of the fighting wings. Well done! +1 Flame Length
A successfully flamed clump of Thread was good for Sobeth to get some of that pent up energy burned off on. She needed to flame more!

Erastan lay a gentle hand on Aspalath's long neck as they continued to patrol their own small patch of sky. Not really with the mighty queen's wing but not with the lower tiers either. It was lonely. Erastan still struggled to admit just how vulnerable they both were without a formation watching their backs. At least they had each other. Aspalath was only a small blue though, slim and delicate without the muscle of some of his kin. And though that made him fast it also tired him quickly. As a aggressive wind hit them. Aspalath wobbled. Erastan clutched his riding straps and tried to feed some of his energy into his partner via their mental link. Somehow the tired dragon regained his wings and swooped on to the next batch of thread.

Tired, but undeterred Aspalath swooped in on the next silvery patch of thread that floated down from the lower tier. Parting his jaws he spewed out a steady stream of flame at the old enemy. It went up without incident till the wind turned and the ash flew back at them. Instinctively Aspalath turned in the air to protect his rider. Erastan let out a strangled sound as the hot ash burned Aspalath's neck and collar instead.

Poor Aspalath is still feeling the tiring effects of fighting thread as a small slim blue. At least Erastan is supporting him as much as he is fretting.
