 Woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. It was cool to hear thunder in my new place. Though I was more intent on sleeping at the time since it was early. whee

Though it was interesting the dream I kept happening. I kept dreaming I woke up to find that I slept through my alarm, that it was an hour or more past the time my work shift starts. Normally, I would be freaking if I discovered I slept in. But my dream self? She was so chill about it. She was all "Oh, I slept in? I suppose I should call them to let them I'm coming." xd

I went kayaking for the first time with my co-worker friend yesterday evening. It was a lot of fun. Enjoyed the warm weather. Watched the sun setting over the hills surrounding the lake. And even got to drift among the lily pads growing in the lake. We saw some goslings during our time out there too. biggrin

The weather certainly has drastically changed since yesterday. Yesterday I didn't even bother wearing a jacket when going to work because it was so warm. I was just in a T-shirt with our fan set on the highest setting, drinking cold tea to keep cool and hydrated. Hell, I was even wearing my new swimsuit (that I got last year for camping but never got to wear because it was pouring down rain the entire time) and was perfectly fine with it, even after getting out of the water from kayaking and being in the cool evening breeze.
Today? I'm wearing a jacket. I didn't want to get out of bed because I was nice and comfy warm. It's cloudy with occasional showers. And, of course, there was the thunder in the morning.
