Came out to have a meeting with the merfolk. Learned ocean children were being targeted, some hurt/dead. Currently, they're fetching Kiro from the hospital to take him back to the merclan for safety. And all along the way, Joshua is teaching Tianara about human things. I think that's about it.)) Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

((OOC: biggrin Sounds about right, Lucky.))
Tianara flushed, looking down. "Oh," she said uncertainly. "Um, okay." Luckily, as Joshua finished his explanation, the doors dinged and let them out. Tianara stepped out quickly, feeling rather dazed and confused - the lack of motion nearly made her stumble.
Kiro was waiting for them at the checkout desk, looking rather pale and weary but otherwise all right. He noticed Tianara's slight stumble and crossed the room to the two of them. "Enjoy the ride, Tia?" he teased gently, not seeming to notice her narrowed eyes as he looked at Joshua. "Everything seems arranged."
He walked with the two of them to the door of the hospital and pushed it open. A slight hiss of breath followed, and Tianara's head turned sharply towards him. "Kiro? Are you all right?"
"Fine," said the man through gritted teeth. "Just...not perfect quite yet. I'll be fine, Tia. Let's go."

He walked with the others to the door. His brow furrowed, watching Kiro. He was having doubts about removing the man from the hospital so soon. Thinking about it though, he knew that logically, he'd be safer with the merfolk.
He blinked as they stepped out into the bright sunlight. "Will you be alright for the trip to the water?" He aske Kiro quietly as they began walking. He didn't want the man suddenly passing out them. That would just make this whole situation that much more difficult. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Kiro didn't seem to notice the fact that the others were both shooting him suspicious glances. His gaze was fixed straight ahead, on the forest that was apparently his goal. In that moment, he looked somewhat like Narcis had during the shifting experiment.
"Hmm?" he asked in reply to Joshua's question. Seemingly shaking himself out of his musings, he said, "Oh. Yes. I'll be fine." A hint of a smile appeared when Tianara stepped closer to him. "It's a ten-minute walk, and I have Tia to help me out if I really desperately need it." It was clear he didn't think he would.
Tianara watched her brother cautiously, looking worried. She was having doubts of her own. Not about taking Kiro home - that seemed like the most natural thing in the world. He would be better tended there than at any hospital. No, her doubts were about whether or not he could make it home. Hadn't the doctor said to get him to rest? Could he swim out all the way to the clan?
Maybe she could get Sorry and Narcis to help them get him there. She was quite strong for her size, but that didn't mean she could drag Kiro all the way home.

Kiro looked too much like Narcis had - And he saw how well that turned out. So he kept an eye on Kiro as they walked, watching for any sign that the man needed help. Glancing at Tianara though, he suspected he wouldn't really need to do anything. She was here and she'd proved to be particularly protective of those around her. So he stayed out of it, not forcing the issue.
He kept quiet all the way to the forest's edge, absorbed by his thoughts. He barely noticed the change from town to forest, his feet following the familiar path. He could have walked it in his sleep. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Kiro's lips twitched slightly at Joshua's words, but he made no comment. Tianara was close enough to his side that she could practically have been his shadow. He doubted he had anything to worry about.
Tianara watched her brother warily out of the corner of her eye. He was pale and already sweating a little by the time they made it to the forest edge. Obviously his injured ribs were troubling him, but he seemed to be gamely keeping on. So she said nothing for the moment.
Luckily, this experiment turned out far better than the one with Narcis - Kiro made it through the forest without any incident more serious than a low hiss when he stepped the wrong way and jarred his side a little bit. Tianara had been instantly beside him, and had taken his arm. Now she was guiding him and he was leaning a little on her, but aside from that all seemed well.
"Almost there," she told him, and he nodded with a brief smile.

Shadow Hunter, Silent Hunter The forest is yours alone Night Hunter, Quiet Hunter None disturb your hunt Joshua was drawn out of his thoughts as the trees cleared to reveal the beach he called home. He found himself smiling, glad to have made it with no serious incidents. Glancing at Kiro and Tianara, his smile made it. "First leg of the journey complete." He would have said first half, but he wasn't sure how far it was to the clan's home. He couldn't remember, having taken a roundabout route to get there last time.
"Do you guys want to rest before you head out again?" He asked, his eyes flickering to Kiro for a brief second. His words implied that he wasn't coming with them. He didn't think he would be much help of the upcoming part so he simply didn't include himself. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

((Guys, allow me to heal Kiro with my magick please? Also How is Aria and the others?))
Mac had been silent the whole time, but decided to speak up after much hard thinking. Following the group and observing silently like he usually did was how he used to be, but he felt hurt watching Kiro hurt like that. He waited for the right moment to speak about it though.
He felt a familiar presence nearby, a positive one. "Hmm" he pondered to himself. He kept on walking like usual.
Nira was busy carelessly gliding over the waves. "What a fine day, hmhm" she giggled. He plans were going to unfold. She was heading toward a cruise ship, having some sort of plot. She slowed her pace and waved her arm out in front of her. Suddenly, a humanoid, fish-like demon appeared. She looked down upon it with mild interest. "Now I want you to wreak some havoc on that ship. I don't care how, or what you do" she commanded. It replied with a grunt, and the Nira vanished.

((OOC: But then the whole point of bringing him back in at all would be ruined. Sorry, EG, but he has to go home. And bring the news back. twisted ))
Tianara caught Joshua's smile and flashed back a small one of her own. At least thus far, there had been nothing to worry about. But now they had come up against her own worries. "Do you think you can swim all that way?" she asked Kiro gently, looking concerned.
Kiro chuckled dryly, ruffling his sister's hair. "I'll take a minute to breathe first," he replied. "You should too. It feels like a longer swim to us than to them." He sat - carefully, with as little movement as possible - on the sand. Tianara flopped down casually beside him. They both looked up at Joshua.
"You aren't coming?" asked Tianara, sounding surprised. "Why? I'm going to need your help, Joshua. I need someone to back me up with Mother, and Kiro's terrible at that."
Kiro laughed wearily, but did not disagree.

"I didn't think I would be much help. I can't breath underwater. I'd only slow you guys down." He shrugged, knowing it was true and not resenting it. "And I don't think the clan would be very happy to see me. I'm an outside and I'm human." He pointed out, wondering if Tianara had thought of that. He knew the clan had raised humans, but he wasn't sure how they would feel about a land raised human knowing so much about their home and where it was. Tianara shrugged. "We won't be going very fast anyway," she insisted, "since Kiro's injured. You could easily keep up." She pondered his other words for a bare minute before shrugging. "They won't care about you coming back. They didn't care when Sorry brought you there the first time. If they were going to complain, they would have done it by now."
Hope clear in her eyes, she asked, "So will you come?"
Kiro shook his head reprovingly at his sister. "Tia," he admonished gently. "If he would rather stay here and work on other things, let him. Don't hound the poor boy."

Shaking his head, he smiled at Kiro as he relented. "I don't mind. I would like to come. She's not hounding." He glanced at Tianara, flashing her a shy smile. "I just didn't think I would be wanted or useful." He pushed himself to his feet. "If I'm to come, I'd best gather my gear."
He turned and headed back to his cabin, pausing after a second. "I know you guys don't need the scuba gear, but would you like a wet suit? They'd be easier to swim in than normal clothes." Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Mac looked onward, "I'll stay with whoever needs more protecting" he stated bluntly. He wanted to announce his services to make himself sound as useful as he was.
The Sahagin crawled its way aboard the ship. The passengers were quickly terrified of the beast as it began charging towards countless innocents.

Tianara smiled a little bit back at him. "You're always welcome, Joshua," she said lightly. "You ought to know that by now."
At his offer, Kiro looked mildly puzzled for a moment, and Tianara gave Joshua an odd look. Then her eyes lit with comprehension. "Ohhhh," she drawled. "Right." She turned and whispered something into Kiro's ear that made her brother snicker. Then she blinked sweetly at Joshua. "Isn't that right, Joshua?" Tianara was, for the first time in her life, actually teasing someone.
At Mac's words, however, she glanced over. "We should be fine," she murmured, looking vaguely troubled. Whenever Mac talked like that, something bad happened soon after - and everything had been going so well. "I don't know...maybe we should send him to talk to Aria, Joshua. Someone needs to warn her, just in case."
