Frustrated, the little bronze focused on taking his frustrations out on the Enemy, but as he flamed another strand, the wind gusted and blew the ash back at him and his, causing them both to hiss in pain.

A gust of wind hit just as they shifted position in line with their Wingleader's call. Like a fish in a current, Alcherath slid away from the thread... but another gust threw it back at them, and the green creeled at the sudden pain. She'd done as she was told! Why was she being punished...?

Set'al and Bronze Pipith 3/5
Focused on taking out a particularly thick tangle of Thread - and his frustrations with it - Pipith would not have noticed the clump falling towards him at such an angle that even his alert rider couldn't have seen it coming. It was only Nasath's warning that saved them from a hit, sending them between to come out in a safer spot.
The little bronze was far from the warm, effusive type, but the gratitude he sent to his fellow was genuine. Thank you, Nasath.

L'an guided Alcherath into a dive after a bit of thread, but the wind had other ideas. The already-unhappy green was distracted now with a cloud of negative thoughts, and she did not react in time when the thread was thrown back her way. With a pained creel she once more launched between to shake the burning bite of thread, reappearing a moment later with a whimper.

Here at the last minute, it was all falling apart. The poor green was coming entirely undone, the pain drawing her from her daydreams not into focus, but into a mild panic. She barely noticed the clump of thread approaching her before a rush of flame charred it. That too alarmed her, and she gave a squealing honk of terror before it ended, and she extended a trembling, half-thankful, half-distressed touch to the bronze's mind. She was glad he had saved her... but it still felt a little like her wingmates were all trying to pick on her, and scare her as a joke today!
Now on high alert after such a close call, Pipith caught sight of a clump falling straight for one of their wingmates, and didn't hesitate to dive after it with a warning bugle and catch it in his flame before it could reach Alcherath. He was precise in his aim, and certain not to catch the green herself. After which, he returned to formation without a word, but immensely pleased with himself.

As they were now nearly halfway through the 'Fall, it was no surprise that they were now low on firestone - it was definitely time to restock, especially with the impending change in altitude. Pipith rumbled a request down to someone below. We require more firestone. A nudge from his prompted him to tack on a Please.

The poor frazzled green took a moment to catch her breath, to try to let L'an's calm flow back into her. The sight of the sea in the far distance caught her eye, and she felt herself ease back, her thoughts instantly caught up in her and her rider's shared love of that place... at least until her teeth came down sharply onto her own tongue. Owww!

With a wink between, the green lined herself up to flame down thread. She was ready to be done now though, ready to have her dinner and a bath. Could they go home yet? Please? Oh, she wanted to go to the sea...
You fly up to the designated rider. Unfortunately, you just can't seem to position yourself where you're confident enough to throw the stone. Worse, there's Thread falling around you, far heavier than down in the weyrling wing, and you can feel yourself suddenly panicking, freezing up... When you do manage to throw the stone, you under throw, and the older rider and dragon have to scramble to catch it. They manage -- barely -- but in their haste to catch the stone, a few slivers of Thread catch the adult rider's wing instead. Quote the Rider In Need and have them take Moderate Damage: -3 HP
While Shanaloth was still very willing, Vetica couldn't help but feel her dragon was tired - having to overcompensate for a new way of flying she wasn't used to yet. Maybe she'd pushed it by having her fly a fall so soon. They'd gotten into position decently, but the change in winds knocked the little green harder than expected and Vetica's toss fell a little short.
So sorry! Are you alright? The little green cheeped, sending waves of apologetic affection to Pipith before Vetica sent her away again.

The wind started to pull and push again as the long broad wings caught a rather odd angle blowing them both off course. Before E’nd could even spot int thread rand across the bronze’s back causing him to screech in pain.
