A large clump came down at them fast, but they were on top of it in a heartbeat, and Menankith flamed it into harmless ash.

The wind picked up, strong enough that it took quite a bit of fighting against it to keep from being blown out of formation. Menankith won the battle, but pulled a wing muscle in the process. Ouch.

N'ori felt the hiss of pain through his bond with Meigth, the pair having been too large to move quickly - and while they were able to jump away to clear their hide, it still left a lingering mark.

Meigth was always a sturdy dragon, for how much of a damage sponge he and N'ori seemed to be. N'ori was pleased that even injured, his lifemate was holding up swimmingly.

Meigth rumbled with pleasure at his own success and N'ori thumped his shoulder proudly. Now if we were only as accurate at not being hit, he teased, making N'ori howl with laughter. Was this a bad place to be laughing?

But they weren't as good at not getting hit and N'ori couldn't help but frown at how they were holding up.
She's going to kill me, but let's go. N'ori pushed Meigth Between - and back to the healers.
