Mac brushed a stray hair out of his face, and thought a second. "We could go back to your place, maybe see if we could clean it up?" he asked her, "I mean we could do that and have fun while doing it, and maybe something else afterwords" he suggested.
Mike watched as the woman exited the building. She seemed to be smiling. Keeping out of site, he followed her. He wondered why she didn't have a car either. When she came to a building, she entered a door and closed it behind her. Mike had to stop his stalking, and return back to the hospital. Luckily it was a block away, and he began to run fast.

Tianara smiled a little wistfully. "Wouldn't that be lovely," she murmured, looking faraway. Maybe she was picturing it in her head. She sometimes wished it really could be like that - but she knew it wasn't safe for the merfolk, and probably not a good idea even for the humans. There was just too much tension, and too much fear. But a girl could dream now and then, right? Sure.
At Katalina's words, the brunette glanced up, startled. She flushed a bit, then shook her head. "Oh, no," she said, a small smile coming to her face. "I think I'm done here for now. I'll see Kiro and Mother again soon - and Addy," she added, quietly determined. "And the others. I'll see them the next time I visit."
Katalina nodded and led the way out of the caverns. She looked back at the two humans briefly as they went on their way, and it was clear that she was still wondering about something - but she let it go. She'd talk to Joshua later.
"Come on," she said instead, "it's getting late. I'd like to be back at the cove before nightfall. Just in case. Joshua, can you three close yourselves up in the cabin again tonight? I don't think the Dark One will return, but, well..." She shrugged. You never know.

He caught her glance at Tianara and himself and was about to ask if something was wrong when Katalina spoke up first. He nodded at her words. "That's no problem. Though I think this time, since I've more warning, I might pull out blankets for everyone." Last time they'd been too busy dealing with the Dark One for him to worry about that.
He shrugged as well. "Who knows if the Dark One will come back, but it's better to be safe than sorry." He said, repeating a phrase he'd heard all his life. "We'll be alright Katalina." He smiled reassuringly. Yes, they would be alright. And this time, he wouldn't be so stupid if the Dark One came. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Katalina only nodded briefly. "I know," she said softly. Then, mustering a light, teasing grin, she added, "And no heroics this time, all right? Let Tianara handle it."
The dark-haired girl bit her lower lip and looked away quickly to hide a grin. "He did okay," she protested, but her voice was too muffled to hold any conviction - and besides, it sounded like she was giggling.
Katalina looked at Tianara for a brief moment, then glanced at Joshua. And Joshua, her voice spoke as though beside his ear, though she said nothing, before you go up to the house, could I talk to you for a second? She shrugged apologetically. Her mother asked me to. We can not and say we did if you'd prefer.
Tianara looked back at the two of them and grinned. "What are we waiting for?" she asked, striking out again in the direction of the cove. "We should get back - it'll be dark pretty soon."

Joshua rolled his eyes good naturedly. He knew when he was beat. "Alright, alright. I'll let her handle it. I won't put myself in such danger again." He raised one hand in a promise, sounding mock-serious. Then he shook his head and laughed.
Hearing Katalina's voice, he glanced at her in surprise. What had Tianara's mother wanted them to talk about? He shrugged and nodded. "We can talk." He replied, sounding unconcerned. "About what though? You know what, never mind. I'll find out soon enough." He dismissed the question as soon as he'd asked it. Tianara was already moving away, so why waste time explaining what would be explained shortly? With another shrug, he smiled and hurried to catch up with Tianara. "We're not waiting for anything. We're busy swimming." He told her with a small laugh.
Aria tilted her head to the side, thinking. "That would be a good idea." She had a slight smile on her face as she laughed quietly. "God knows Grandpa hates messes. He's forever cleaning and making sure his stuff is in perfect condition." She shrugged easily, used to her grandfather's eccentric ways. Some of them had rubbed off on her too - She also hated large messes. Turning, she lead the way out of the hospital and down the road through town. She hummed quietly, a slight bounce in her step now that she was sure everything would be okay again. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Mac followed her out, keeping with her every step. He then noticed Mike. "Hey Mike".
Mike came running up to Mac and Aria, "Hey, sorry I just took awhile. I brought back some stuff from the house" he told Mac. "Where are you both going?" he asked. His pockets jingling slightly.
"We're going back to her place to clean up the house" he said to him honestly, and he then he looked at Aria, "Could he come too?" he asked.
Mike smiled, "I can help clean" he added.

Aria glance up at Mike as he approached, smiling warmly. "Hi!" She greeted him brightly, obviously in a much better mood than the last time he'd seen her. "I don't see why you can't come. I certainly don't mind." She agreed with a shrug. "The more the merrier. Come on." She laughed and lead the way out of town. The house was soon in sight and Aria bounced up the steps, checking them and the door for damage. Hmm. The door had a few scratches and would need a new coat of paint but it seemed to be in working order. Peering inside, she shivered. Everything was strewn all across the floor. Aria entered with a sigh, quickly finding her apron and tying it on. "Well, we might as well get to work. You guys want aprons too?" She asked, glancing at them. It was simply habit for her to wear one when cleaning. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

((OOC: XD I know the feeling.))
Tianara laughed at the two of them, pushing back her wet hair as they got closer to the cove. "Sure, sure," she replied. "Come on, let's go - I want to get back before it gets too cold." Already she spoke with the easy confidence of someone who was totally comfortable with those she was speaking to.
As they neared the cove, Katalina frowned, her gaze rising to stare ahead. She stopped as they reached the edge of the cove waters. "I have to go," she told the two, frowning. "Narcis just reached me - they're waiting for me at the Siren's cavern. There's something we need to look into." She glanced at Joshua, a trifle apologetically, and shrugged. "We'll talk about it later," she told him. "I don't think it's that important, really - I trust you."
Aloud, she said, "Call if you need us - we'll hear. In the meantime, make sure that you're all safely locked up at night; I don't know what this is, or how long it's going to take. Don't take any unnecessary risks, either of you." She looked seriously from one to the other. "I'll see you soon." Turning away, she dived into the water once again, swimming away from them.
Tianara watched her leave and shivered a little. Now there was no one to rely on but herself and Joshua. She looked at him after a second. Looking a little nervous, she said softly, "So, um...we should probably get the cabin ready, I guess."

Shadow Hunter, Silent Hunter The forest is yours alone Night Hunter, Quiet Hunter None disturb your hunt Joshua laughed as they swam, completely relaxed. He frowned, seeing Katalina's frown. What else could go wrong now? Was the universe just completely against them or something? He sighed and waved her off. They would be fine. He did have to wonder though - What had she been wanting to talk about? And what did it have to do with trusting him? Oh well. Now wasn't the time to question Katalina, he decided as he watched her swim away.
He glanced back at Tianara and smiled reassuringly. "Yeah. Might as well. We'll be fine Tianara. No worries." He swam into the cove, surfacing and taking a deep breath of the fresh air. "Man I hate stale air." He muttered, shaking his head to get some of the water out of his hair. He waded out of the water, pulling his gear off bit by bit and storing it away safely. "You can go on in and get dry." He told her as he worked. "Towels are in the closet just to the right, I mean to this side." He corrected himself quickly, pointing to show where he meant. He'd remembered suddenly that she hadn't quite gotten the hang of left and right. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Tianara smiled a little bit, watching him. "I know," she replied. In an unsettling echo of Katalina's earlier words, she added, "I trust you." She flashed him an easy grin and went towards the house. As she watched him stow his gear, she frowned a little bit. "I wonder what happened, though. I mean, Narcis doesn't usually do things that last-minute. You'd think he'd tell her ahead of time if they were going to do something that would need her."
She shook her head at last. "What do I know, I guess." Watching him point, she nodded easily. "Okay. I'll get a couple out." Leaving him to finish storing his things, she went inside the house and paused, looking from left to right. Awkwardly, she moved the way she thought he had pointed and opened the closet, looking for towels.
It probably would have been helpful if she'd been entirely positive of what she was looking for.

Shadow Hunter, Silent Hunter The forest is yours alone Night Hunter, Quiet Hunter None disturb your hunt Joshua repressed the urge to shiver at Tianara's declaration of trust. While he was glad that they all trusted him, he could only wonder what would happen if he failed. Shaking his head, he pushed such thoughts aside and finished stowing his gear. Once that was done, he stood back and gave it a last glance over to be sure everything was done properly.
Nodding, he turned and headed inside the cabin. Seeing Tianara looking through the closet, he closed his eyes briefly at his lack of thought. He kept forgetting! He was so used to every one knowing everything that he kept forgetting how little Tianara knew. Maybe it was because a lot of the time, she seemed so knowledgeable.
"Here." He murmured kindly, reaching over her shoulder to pulled out a pair of towels. "You can use this to dry off. You want a fresh set of clothes?" He asked, already working on drying his hair. "That should be tomorrow's task." He murmured to himself. "Getting you your own clothes." Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Tianara jumped and went a little red when Joshua reached over her shoulder. She hadn't noticed he was there, despite the fact that he was very close, and was now embarrassed on both counts - so easily surprised, and missing such an obvious thing. "Oh," she murmured. "Right. I...I knew that."
She held the towel awkwardly, unsure of what precisely to do with it. Although she watched what Joshua was doing, it didn't mean much to her. Removing water, after all, was not on her normal list of tasks. She wasn't used to trying to be dry.
Instead, she simply wrapped it around her long hair briefly, holding it tightly to at least get rid of some of the water. Then she unwrapped it again and smiled a little at Joshua's words. "I'm okay," she replied. "I wouldn't want to ruin any more of your clothes - I'm used to being wet." Remembering his reaction the last time she'd been wearing wet clothing, however, she flushed a bit. "I, um, if it makes you uncomfortable or anything, I'll change them."

Spending so much time around Katalina and the others, things like that were starting to bother him less. Besides, she would at least have something on - No matter how much it clinged to her. "It's fine." He told her easily. "I just wasn't sure if the wet clothes might be uncomfortable for you. But if you're okay, then don't worry about it." He hung the towel around his neck and ran one hand through his hair, trying to settle it into some semblance of neatness.
"Me, however, I'm going to get changed. Be right back." He moved to the dresser, grabbing some clothes for himself and disappearing into the bathroom. He toweled off quickly and changed. Only a few minutes had passed before he was back out again in dry clothes, the towel slung around his neck. Beneath the Blood moon The forest you watch Beneath the Blood sky The forest you hunt

Tianara managed to smile even through her blush. "Okay," she replied softly. She watched him disappear into the bathroom, and turned back to the closet, hunting through it. Joshua had said something about blankets...? Were they like towels? Would they be in the same place?
By the time Joshua returned, Tianara was hidden from the waist up, poking around inside the closet, attempting to discover the identity of these mysterious 'blankets'. "Whu shackli aa I ookin orr?" her muffled voice came from within when she heard the bathroom door close.
Drawing back out, her dark hair tumbling wildly around her face, she repeated, "What exactly am I looking for? In here, I mean. You said something about blankets...?"
Not actually waiting for a response, she stuck her head back into the closet. Although she was wondering where Mac was, and if he was going to be back before dark, she figured she could broach that subject when they found the blankets.
