"...You're half god and have a good chunk of the powers that come with one, why on earth do you have a gun?" Van asked surprisingly calmly.

"My powers mainly consist of healing, barriers, and elemental resistance. It doesn't hurt to have a little extra protection when I can't use magic or when I need to react quickly." Larai replied with a small shrug, now slipping the gun away back into it's original hiding spot.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I thought your mom taut you how to use offensive magic? Like the stuff anyone can learn?" Van asked. "If she didn't, I'm sure she'd love to."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Magic takes years of training. I'm already experienced with guns, so I don't see the need to switch now. Thank you for the offer, though." Larai said with a smile.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well can you imagine your mother's reaction if she knew you were using a gun?" Van said raising an eyebrow with a smirk.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Yes, but she'd get over it quick if I taught her how fun they can be when used right." Larai replied with a grin.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"No." Van said automatically. "Mala already knows over a thousand ways to kill a person with magic, she doesn't need firearms too."

 

[M3Gnificent]

Larai chuckled. "What? Does mom scare you as it is?" she joked.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Van raised another eyebrow at Larai. "You've blocked out some of her more extreme times of the month, haven't you?"

((The mental image of a hormonal and moody woman with the power to blow up a small town at her disposal amuses me. XD ))

"In my days of traveling, I have honestly seen worse." Larai replied with a dead serious expression.

((Also hoping to not let really let it die until everyone's married and happy, but that's just me. >.>))

"That's right, we haven't gotten to hear any of you and Kai's tales from traveling yet." Van said with a smile. No matter how you made your living, as long as you did plenty of traveling it seemed you were guaranteed to come away with at least one story to tell.

"Well, there are a couple that I would be willing to share..." Larai said, looking away with a slightly guilty expression. There were definately many she didn't feel like sharing.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"We can wait until your mother wakes up. She'll want to hear what trouble you two have been getting into these past hundred years."

Larai smiled. "Very well."
