The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua nodded, pulling his hand away from her shoulder. He could see that she needed a moment. So he didn't rush as he changed into swimming gear. He gave Tianara some time to herself, letting her calm down. He had heard in her voice how much he'd hurt her. He sighed, hoping she would forgive him.
He slipped outside to where his scuba gear was stored. He knew they were leaving the cove, in which case he would need the gear. Gathering the last of it, he took a deep breath and prepared to face Tianara.
Joshua walked down to the beach, wading into the water and slipping on the last of the gear. "Ready?" He asked Tianara quietly. "Let's get going. Who knows what's happened......" He didn't like charging into a situation blind but Tianara would never forgive him if he refused to go after the others. Besides, despite the blind situation, he still wanted to go. He had to make sure they were all alright. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Mac thought a moment, and he decided it was too late to leave and not to have trouble with a demon late at night. "Sure, we'll stay the night, and thank you for the food." he spoke for them both.
Mike looked back at her from across the room, "Thank you for dinner" he said.

Tianara took the moment out at the water's very edge to calm herself down. She had needed the break more than she'd thought - all her tension and her violent mood swings were fading as abruptly as they had appeared. Perhaps speaking to the merfolk, nearly all of whom had promised their immediate aid, had smoothed it over.
When she heard Joshua's words, her gaze turned wryly to him. "Of course," she replied, instead of what she was thinking. "Let's go. The merfolk have already promised to help, almost all of them."
Figuring that if he was coming he'd follow, she went under the water, opening her mind to the excited chatter of the merfolk, all of whom wanted to tell her everything they found. They all wanted to find the four missing ones, and Tianara couldn't do much but sort through their information as she and Joshua swam.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua swam quietly, trying to peer through the cold, inky waters. With the sun hidden away, the water's temperature had dropped. The darkness didn't help either. Everything looked so different during the night. He kept seeing shapes in the darkness and never knew if they were really there or if they were his imagination. But he kept looking.
"Should we start at the Siren cave?" He asked quietly. That was the last place the missing ones should have been. Maybe Narcis' Siren companions could help. They might know something. He shivered at the idea of dealing with them. They scared him. But he would do it if it meant finding Katalina and the others.
As he swam, he kept stealing glances at Tianara. He was sure that if she heard something useful, she would let him know. He watched her expression, waiting for it to lit up with news. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"We can start there," replied Tianara quietly, not betraying her own thoughts. Because honestly, the more she thought about it - how unusual Narcis's behaviour had been in calling Sorry in almost out of nowhere - the more she was certain that they had never been at the cove at all. Riiya and Korai had no love for Katalina, but they wouldn't have stood by and let something happen to Narcis and Jinx without a fight.
And that, she thought, might be the key. If Riiya and Korai were there, that meant that the four had probably never been at the Siren's cove. Then they could work their way from the Siren's cove to the place where Sorry had left them, because Katalina would have gone to the Siren's cove via the shortest route. That was where Narcis had told her to go. If anything had happened to her, it must have been along the way.
If Riiya and Korai weren't there, then whatever had happened must have happened at the Siren's cove after all - Tianara thought Narcis might have directed Katalina there in the hopes that she at least would be safe. And if whatever had happened had happened there, she and Joshua would have a starting point. A place to look for clues.
Turning around, she looked at Joshua. "It all depends on whether or not Riiya and Korai are there," she said finally, shortening her entire thought process to one sentence.

Mac got up and decided to sit on the living room couch. He didn't know where he should sleep. "So Aria, should I sleep on the couch?" he asked.
Mike quickly interjected, "I want the couch though...".

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Dammit. >.< Not again! I totally meant to respond to the last one.....))
Aria looked up from where she'd been digging in a closet. "Well, there's a couple choices." She told them, amused by the argument over the couch. "There's the guest bedroom." Something like sadness flashed in her eyes but it was gone too fast be sure of it. "Or the couch. Or there's lots of floor." She chuckled again, amusement returning to her sea green eyes. "The guest bed is a queen size, so it's big enough for two people."
Joshua nodded mutely. They didn't really have many choices besides swimming around aimlessly. The Siren cove seemed to be their best bet for news, one way or the other. He kicked out firmly, swimming in the direction he thought the cove was. He'd only been there once so he wasn't a hundred percent certain but he thought it was this way. He'd always had a fairly good sense of direction. The darkness made everything ten times more difficult. "How well can you see in the dark?" He asked suddenly, wondering if the merfolk's magic had affected her eyesight any. Now that he thought about it, he wasn't even sure how well they saw in the dark. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara glanced over at him again. The slightest hint of amusement came into her eyes. It was a nice change, after so long of nothing but stress and grief and worry there - with the occasional moment of blind terror just to spice it up. "Well," she replied. Indeed, she didn't seem to be fumbling much. "I lived in a cave for sixteen years, remember? We have some light, sometimes, but not a lot."
Reaching out, her fingers just brushed his arm. "Also, the Siren's cove is a little more this way." She indicated a direction slightly more to the right than the way Joshua had been going, but that slight change would save them a lot of detour in the long run. "But nice try for...how many times have you been there?"
Even as she spoke, she had begun to swim again. She wanted to get moving - sitting around even for a moment was chafing her. The merfolk were buzzing in her ears, constantly trying to tell her things, and she was trying to do five things at once - answer their questions, sort through their information, talk to Joshua, swim, and try to think of what could possibly have happened to the four and where.
It was, to say the least, mildly difficult.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... 'Well at least one of us can see then.' Which wasn't exactly true. Joshua could see, it was just more difficult that normal. He had to smile though at her reply. He'd forgotten that there wouldn't be much light where she'd grown up.
He blushed as she corrected his course, embarrassed to have been off course. "Once." He murmured then fell quiet. It had occurred to him that talking to Tianara would just unnecesarily distract her. So he closed his mouth a swam, letting her focus on what she needed to. Instead he let his thought wander, wondering what in the world could have happened to the four. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Mac perked up when he heard the queen sized bed. Mike did as well.
"The bed sounds nice" Mac said. Mike and him have slept together before, so it wouldn't be a problem. "Do you wana do something before we go to bed?" he asked her.

((OOC: O.O ...*chokes* OMFG. EG, that was golden, on so many counts. Lawl.))
"Well then, it was a very good shot," replied Tianara amiably, seeming not to realize that Joshua might be embarrassed about it. Why should he be? She didn't expect him to know the waters perfectly or anything, especially in the dark. The only reason she knew where the Siren's cove was was that she was reaching out - a sixth task - searching for the magical signatures of the four missing ones. It wouldn't necessarily show her where they were at the moment, but it would show her where they had been as well as places they spent a lot of time at. Narcis's signature was particularly strong at the cove - hence, easy tracking.
"What do you think happened?" she asked the next time she had a manageable amount of things to think about. There had been a silence for a long time, and she figured that she should probably break it. She was tired of the awkwardness that had come between them, but there was no time to figure it out at the moment. They had to find Sorry and Nezik and the Sirens.
She cocked half an ear for his reply, still focusing on all the other things at the same time. She hoped he wasn't as downcast as she about it - Tianara couldn't help fearing the worst.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Now, now children. Play nice.... XD ))
Aria grabbed pillows and blankets from the closet. "What did you have in mind? You'll have to asnwer as I work." She told him, trotting off to the guest bedroom. She set to work spreading the blankets and pillows on the bed for the pair.
"Hmm?" Joshua asked, startled from his thoughts. "Oh, well there's several possibilities." He debated for a moment, then decided to go with the most upbeat. He'd found Tianara seemed to find the worst in situations. Joshua however, was determined to find the best. "Maybe Narcis has found something. Then the Siren's cove would be the easiest, fastest spot to meet up. He could have led her elsewhere, beyond our range. Maybe he found something that could help and wanted to show her." He shrugged. It was an easy, upbeat explanation and he despretely hoped that it was all just a misunderstanding and it had been something like that. There were holes in the explanation, but that was true for everything he was thinking of right now. The tiger that should be....isn't....
