Broom in hand, bat swinging from his belt, he strolled onto the field, his hair sweeping across his forehead and into his eyes. Gah! Fingers fumbled with the red locks, brushing them aside and out of the way. Spotting the others, he increased his speed to a jog. "Sorry I'm late, guys. Thanks for not starting without me." he said, taking a form and looking it over. There wasn't much about his answers that would differ from last year, except that he had taken Advanced Flying last term. Quickly, he filled it out and handed it back to his captain before taking his position beside Verily. sister - to Chell    ╔══════════════════╗Magda stepped onto the Quidditch field with little interest or spark in her step, her pace quickened ever so so slightly, however, when she saw that there were many student already lined up around the older girl whom she assumed to be Captain.
When Magda finally arrived in the crowd of her House Mates, she quickly glanced around with vague disinterest. She was only showing up to these tryouts because of the many aggressive advertisements plastered all over the Common Room and Dormitory alike declaring that the Ravenclaw team was short on players.
It was rather pathetic and funny; Magda had taken one of the posters to show her sister and share a snicker.
She had arrived and answered the call, however, and so the advertising seemed successful to some extent.
The young witch frowned slightly, assessing the situation she was in: there seemed to not be another First Year in sight. Everyone was older than she was and so she wondered if she could, in fact, even try out. Weren't they usually reserved for second year and on? Strange how she was trying out now when her sister, the more Quidditch savvy of the two of them by far, was waiting until next year or even their Third before having her hand at try outs for her own team. She wanted to make sure she was ready to be on the team, not just throw herself in.
With a sigh and a reserved final focus on the sheet everyone seemed to filling out, Magda decided to throw her hat into this whole business and see where it landed.

 ███ █ ███ █ ███ █ ███ █ ███ █ ███ ________________________________ Chase Henrick________________________________ ███ █ ███ █ ███ █ ███ █ ███ █ ███ Ravenclaw || Fifth Year || Chaser || Prefect || My Love_________________________________________________ _ Chase took the liberty to drag the chest of quidditch balls out as the others filled out their forms. When he came back, he noticed that there were a lot more people, which was a good thing, considering how Ravenclaw needed as many players as possible to fill a team.
"Alright, guys. Let's start," Chase declared, seeing how nobody new was coming and some people were simply standing around. "Beaters, grab your bats," he said, pointing at a small pile of bats on the floor next to the trunk. "I'll release the bludgers as soon as you guys are ready. Keepers, get into position, one at either side of the field. Chasers, get ready." Chase took the quaffle from the trunk. "Shina, snatch that snitch as fast as you can."
When everybody was on their brooms and ready in their prospective positions, Chase released the snitch first, watching it zip through the air and disappear in the blink of an eye. "Beaters, aim at whoever you want, though refrain from constantly beating up the same person: It would be preferred if they're conscious for when the team is announced." The bludgers were soon released, as Chase dodged to the side to prevent getting bludgeoned. Then he took out the quaffle, and threw it at Magda.

As soon as Chase explained the rules of the tryouts, Ver shot into the air on her broom. She sighed looking around the field at those playing, and watching the bludgers carefully. Who would be the most amusing to hit? She thought about swinging a bludger towards her VIce Captain, but decided against, instead laying sights on Shina, a smirk crawled onto her lips. She shot off after a bludger, and once she reached it, she spun around, aimed herself at Shina and swung hard.

Was Chase crazy? Was he dooming all the newbies, because surely the thought about being smashed with a bludger would be daunting, maybe offputting? And how the heck can a beater decide whether the player will get knocked out or not? Night flew to his post, and armed with nothing but hope, stood guard for the chasers who had the quaffles and beaters with threatening bats.

Shina Kiremono~Fifth Year~Ravenclaw Seeker Shina had scarcely gotten off the ground when a bludger slammed into her thigh, sending her skidding sideways. Air hissed through her teeth, that had hurt! That was going to turn all sorts of colors. "Nice one, Ver! Can I get an instant replay?" she catcalled to the beater after she'd gotten the pain under control. Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground. I am Twelve years old, a Second Year Ravenclaw student. I am a half-blood standing with Ravenclaw Pitch for Tryouts and wondering Well, Shayna. Why not give this a shot...  Shayna watched as Chase started setting balls free. She quickly got onto her 'new' Firebolt and started rising getting used to the broom again. She happily watched as people started flying around going for the different balls and such, and someone had already gotten hit by a bludger. She cringed slightly at the thought before turning her attention to finding the little golden ball. {Position: Seeker/Chaser
