Rhys - HR - He/Him/His
Honestly, the Hatching had his heart pounding a million miles a minute. While he watched the beauty of the eggs rocking and moving, every hide that came out was as beautiful as the last. He was in absolutely delighted awe. His hair had been carefully groomed, robes pressed, so he could look his best for the hatchlings....for didn't they deserve it? He thought so. At least this way, he could now Stand in the way he was meant to. When a girl approached them, he offered only a nod, before turning his eyes back. Such lovely little ones on the sands...And look at Rhianth's clutch....So full of fire!
Rune - HR - She/Her/Hers For her, this whole ordeal was bittersweet. A talk with W'tarl had brought up some memories, and she was now at the point of simply watching, keeping her thoughts back from the little ones as they shelled. Tahira's presence was welcome, keeping the lithe, angry twin calm as everything began to go go go. So many thoughts and so many dragons, how could she be anything but anxious? Ready to just let things happen as they would? "Hey." Her words were muted, fingers twined in the edges of her robe ties. Let there be a Hatchling for Rhys at least....Let him see potential bloom. She doubted anything would happen for her right about now, "Good clutches so far."
Alumet of Gold Zenobiath
The pair were in delightful bliss. There was now so much in their hearts as they watched the hatching from a slight distance, a smile wide on the Rider's face as she took in every inch. Even a new Gold on the sands! How wonderful was it? "Look at them, my love. So amazing. Some day, it will be your turn." Behind her, the Gold thrummed her approval, Someday indeed, my hearts, but look at them. Rhianth and Fianth have such perfect children.

K’ienn and bronze Yisketh The red-eyed green had been unexpectedly calm, making apparently friendly visits to other eggs in Rhianth’s clutch. It was strange, but after an entire lifetime of watching hatchling antics, little truly surprised the man anymore. He was surprised when the gold dragonet left her lifemate to go stand before Falienn, though. Obviously she was not looking for someone else to bond with, but babies rarely, if ever, spoke to another person so soon after Impressing. The boy seemed shaken by her presence.
Then, while the boy was still absorbed in the gold, another dragonet joined them. This one seemed… frightened. Falienn stepped back from her. Shards, she wanted to Impress! If he rejected her—K’ienn shot up, wanting to shout at the boy to get a hold of himself. But the words died in his throat. This was Falienn’s moment. His choice. It was up to him whether he became a rider, or chose another path. He’d deal with the fallout and ridicule that would come if the boy gave up.
As the boy continued to waver with the infant below, K’ienn remained on his feet, gripping the rail with white-knuckled hands. Then… it was over. Falienn had chosen life… for both of them. The color of the dragon never even registered in K'ienn's mind. He'd just… ceased to care. Falienn was his son. And he was proud.

Avada Kedavra Egg remained still until it gave a massive tremble. It tilted once to the right, then once to the left, and then, quite abruptly, and with a shower over shell and egg goo, the egg was shoved roughly apart!
Two bronze wings spread, and a loud, imperious bugle rang out. With a hiss and a snarl, he snapped first at Imperio and then actually took a bite from Crucio.
How dare they rouse him before he was ready! ... but lovely Crucio did look so fine stained with Ichor. Eyes whirling red, he gave another bugle to ensure all eyes were on him. Crucio and Imperio knew what to do.
- - - A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes The bugle suddenly caused the little green to creel in fear. Still, the little green, who had felt she had been all but forgotten, continued to make her way through the Candidates. Who among them was Hers?
- - - Dementor Egg Gave an obvious wriggle and shift at the bugle of his clutchsib.... Maybe this was worth moving for?
- - - Sectumsempra Egg The egg wriggled and wobbled. Whoever was in it wanted out, and wanted out now! It was tired of waiting, it was tired of being stuck, IT WANTED OUT!!!!! OUT OUT OUT !!!!! Anyone too close to its egg was bound to feel that familiar stab of pain.

Giving an indignant squeak, Crucio stared defiantly up at Avada Kedavra. ... And then she nuzzled him, leaving a trail of ichor behind. She had things to do, and not everyone was here yet. With that same, shrill, high laugh, Crucio began to run through her clutch in a madcap way, claws out to sheer as she went.
And then she stopped before Sectumsempra, ichor dripping onto the egg. Out! The egg wanted assistance, and Crucio had the claws to provide that very thing. She shredded her sharp, infant claws along the egg.

YURASTAR
From where he stood trying to dust himself off, Yurastar did not think it was at all good what just happened. He'd watched the bronze suddenly hatch only to take a bite!! A BITE!!! from the green from before! A mixture of rage at this wanton cruelty and fear for the green's safety and health whirled in him but he dared not move, dared not to anything before looking out and keeping an eye on that bugled roar. Running with a broken sandal would be hard but he could manage, yet would others be so lucky?
Or unlucky, in his case. When the injured green HAPPILY started her way through the clutch his stomach dropped. Maybe he was so glad that the soft dragonets were off the sands before this happened.
- - - ----
HAVELI
"Arlie, get behind me." Haveli hadn't cared much when an angry green had come about, but the violence of an angry bronze was not something she'd abide by. Her sister, whose hand she'd still been holding, was more or less pulled by the older teen behind in an effort to use herself as a shield. There was no chance it could get that far but Haveli was not about to let her sister be hurt. Not while she was standing, not ever again. "Don't move, no matter what, unless it's to get to safety. Do you understand me?"
With dragonets now moving, now rampaging, she recognized the egg that the green had stopped at. That one, the angry one. Shards.

Torin
Eventually a healthy portion of his adrenaline ebbed and Torin stood rather placidly on the sands for some time, watching the proceedings like a particularly engaging stage play. The plucky, bracing green went to Makimton, the boy who loooooved eggs, and another green chose K'ienn's son. If the rumors were true, that family was just a magnet for unnecessary drama.
Torin shifted his weight. No, the irony of that particular notion was not lost on him.
A wave of restlessness swiftly crept into his mind, a desire to be looked at on a day that most certainly wasn't his, and he was just about to find someone to press his presence upon when Avada Kedavra exploded his way onto the sands with a shriek. Torin stilled, eyes narrowing slightly at the trio of seemingly ill-tempered hatchlings. His first thought was the same one he always had in the presence of danger.
If you're going to leave a scar, make it rakish.

Calla -- HR Candidate --------------------------------------
Welp. That sure was a handful of red eyes. Yep.
In the midst of the amassing forces, it seemed, over on the HP side, a lone green from the Disney clutch seemed to feel a little more than lost. Seeing so many of the dragonets help each other out of the eggs felt unique, a notable occurrence for this Hatching that she imagined people would talk about for the Sevendays following, maybe even Turns.
Calla let her eyes stray to the bronze reclining casually on the Sands. First one out, in no rush to decide, it seemed. Then, there was blood on the Sands -- dragonet blood -- though it seemed to phase the Crucio green not at all. This crew slowly assembling would surely be a force to be reckoned with in the skies. Would it be so on the Sands too?
The candidate took a moment to orient herself. There were a lot of eggs, a lot of candidates, and a handful of dragonets. She didn't want to inadvertently trip and set off a dragonet, be it to attack or, worse, to go between. Her job was to get out of the way and not panic. Panic would be bad. She shot the other Candidates an evaluating glance. Faranth please, don't let their emotions get the better of them, like it had at the Touching.

Siv
By the shells the dragonets running around the Harry Potter clutch now were up to something Bad -- especially that Avada Kedavra. Pity -- they were quite pretty dragons, and Siv was disappointed knowing the draghonetys were possibly plotti9ng mean and dangerous things. Still, she was watching, posture shifting slightly to brace in case the dragonets attacked -- one needed to defend oneself, after all -- but soon her eyes were off the troublemakers.
A Drream is a Wish your Heart Makes was evidently checking everyone out, and Siv turned tyo look to her instead, ears alert but a big, warm smile on her face as she watched the little green.
"Are you having fun, little one? Do we all smell nice?"
Siv HOPED everyone did! This was a precious, darling, sweet and good baby, and Siv cooed a bit over how sweet the green seemed.
"Such a good little one!"
