They'd been back in the fight for only a few minutes before Ichta made a bad call - and somebody else paid for it. Her heart twisted. They'd been doing awful this entire Fall and now not only had she hurt herself and Aurinkoth...she'd hurt somebody else too.

Her lower lip quivered as she forced her attention elsewhere, feeling the needling of Aurinkoth's sunny disposition pushing at the wave of guilt. But she wasn't ready to let him in. She sort of wanted to cry.

Aurinkoth was determined to lift Ichta's mood, both in sending her his endless stream of sunshine but also in putting forward his best efforts. He flamed a clump of Thread, then awaited her normal praise for good work.

He didn't get it.

Aurinkoth wasn't let down by the lack of positive feedback from his beloved, however, continuing to beam his bright sunshine on her. He at least earned a small smile for his effort before he went barrelling after a triad of Thread clumps, flaming them down easily.

Ichta rubbed his shoulder. Look at you!

The wind was picking up, and the green pair could feel it. Don't fight it--move with it! Ce'rian warned as another gust picked up. Twisting through the wind, the tangles of Thread that were blown her way were, once again, avoided.

Ichta was starting to come out of her funk - it was hard to stay down when endless, boundless, joyous positivity was spilling into you at full force. We'll check in on them later, okay? Aurinkoth assured her, before going on to flame another Threadclump.

The wind, however, had ideas about where the ash should go.

They blinked away.

Once again, the little green had no trouble sweeping up the silver menace that rained upon them. She made easy work of the clumps and tangles that threatened them, and hoped some of her fellow handsome wingmates saw. Wasn't she so talented? Wasn't she doing so well?

There was a break in the fight, and Ce'rian took a moment to relax. You're doing wonderful, Cythereath! He praised, leaning down to give her neck a good scratch with his gloved hand. Nothing to it, really! They had this thing licked... though he knew it could change at any moment.

The green thrummed pleasure, eyes whirling a bright blue-green. Anything to make Hers proud.

There was another patch of Thread fell over them, and once again, the little green proved herself to be nothing short of a star. She wove, and danced upon the wind--making little work of the threatening menace.

Another bought of wind, but Cythereath was prepared. Ce'rian could hardly keep his eyes on what way was up with his green's quick wing work. Thankfully, by the time the gust passed, she was no more damaged than before.

    They seemed calm when they arrived, but they'd been fooled by breaks in Thread before. T'rin and Ingonth remained on their guard, unable to relax with the threat of injury looming.

    Sure enough, another stray gust of wind hit hard, knocking Ingonth higher than he was meant to be. Even though his wing muscles were liberally coated with numbweed, he still felt a twinge of pain as one was strained yet again.

    Ingonth whipped around in the air, flaming a troublesome clump of Thread as it floated their way.

    This time, instead of the wind blowing them, it blew Thread their way, the strands flying faster than T'rin had ever seen. He thought of a space just above them and before he could consciously send it to Ingonth, they were there. It was... comforting. They would need to talk about it later.

1. If green, you appear close to the target, but are pushed into the clump of Thread by a strong gust of wind! [Moderate Damage -4 HP] If any other color, you successfully catch the clump! [+1 Between Accuracy]


Zeath and M'aze spotted a wingmate in danger and acted quickly, managing to flame down the clump before it could reach them.
