As the two watched their movie, Mike came out of the bathroom with damp hair and his old clothes on. "What'cha watchin?" he asked. He quickly noticed the movie, "Oh I wana watch" he said like a kid. He sat on the couch on the other side of Mac, with Mac in the middle.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aria gestured for Mike to take a seat, not pulling her eyes away from the screen. "You're welcome to join us." She said in a whisper. She sighed happily. It had been awhile since she'd watching this movie though she used to watch it at least once a week.
Joshua swam quietly, following Tianara. He jumped and stopped as she cried out, looking at her worriedly. He wanted to asked if she was alright but he didn't think she would have heard him. He looked worried when Tianara explained. This wasn't good. He looked around as well.
"I'm not sure." He said quietly, answering her question. He waved back the way they'd come. "I know we came from that way and I know roughly how far we've swum, but I'm afraid I don't recognize this place." Now that she was awake again, he let her hand drop, busy looking around. "I was hoping you could tell me where we are." The tiger that should be....isn't....

The whole time, Mac felt like he was reliving his past life, watching the movie. The music, the emotion, the prejudice...all seemed to make him remember bits and pieces of that life. When it came to the part where she was going to give up her voice, a single tear left Mac's eye. He remembered sadness and feeling rushed, and the feeling of it sent him into a lapse where he didn't see anything but a flashback of the scene. After he snapped out of it, and the scene was over, he gasped at the sudden come-back to reality.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aria had been engrossed in the movie, practically ignoring the other two. She jumped though, startled by Mac's sudden gasp. She glanced over at him worried. "Mac? Are you alright?" She asked, frowning slightly in confusion. What had happened? The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara pressed her fingertips impatiently against her eyes, willing the sense of fear and shock - and more, the grief - to go away. "I have no idea," she said quietly. "But I think I know what to do from here." She glanced at him. "If you're up to it, that is."
With a sigh, she explained herself. "If whoever it was knocked her out here, it's because she was within range for Narcis or Nezik or Jinx to try to tell her to run. That means they're close enough to sense each other, which means we should be able to sense them. I want to try the search again."
She thought she might be able to reach them without Joshua's help, but she didn't want to leave it to chance. So she waited for his reply, scanning the dark waters as she tried to figure out where they were.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua looked thoughtful as she explained. "Of course I'll help. You should know I'll do whatever I can." He said with a small smile. He closed his eyes to concentrate, sending out his mind to search the waters. He couldn't sense anything but he wasn't expecting to. He didn't have the same range as one of the merfolk. He kept his range relaxed this time, not straining to hold it. Combined with Tianara's range, they could easily reach as far as a mermaid. "Ready." He told her, opening his eyes, though he held the magic in place. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Mac looked at Aria, wiping the tear from his cheek, "Oh, just memories...powerful ones" he said. He put his hand delicately to his throat, recalling the feeling, and then put it down and smiled at Aria, hoping to resume the happy feelings, "This movie hasn't been this emotional for me before" he said as he resumed watching.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aria watched him for another minute, making sure he was alright. "If you're sure." She murmured, turning back to watch the movie. She didn't become as engrossed as before. Occasionally her eyes would flicker to Mac, making sure he was still okay. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"You're right, I should," Tianara murmured. "I'm sorry. All this mess has me doubting everything." She pushed her dark hair out of her face again with one hand. Not wanting to take Joshua's hand again - now that they were so close to finding them, her embarrassment at touching him had returned full force - she settled for touching her fingertips lightly to his shoulder. She once again made her way to the edge of his range, and spread herself out from there.
She only had a few seconds to scan before something like a bolt of lightning seemed to flash through her mind, causing her to jerk back and bite her lip to prevent crying out. But after the pain faded, a smirk crossed her lips briefly. Mistake. Big, big mistake.
Now she knew exactly where she was looking - she had felt where the flash of agony had been sent from. It was an attempt to keep her from finding them, and it wouldn't work.
"This way," she said briskly, ignoring the fading headache. "Are you all right?"

Mac wondered to himself. What were the odds of him being the one who used the be the original Little Mermaid in a past life? To actually be real and have the memories come back. The memories were just as real as the movie itself. He remembered the seawitch, and jumped a bit, "Aria" he said and looked at her, "Did your grandfather have anything related to a seawitch in his collection?" he asked. For some reason he wanted to find out more.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua winced, crying out. He hadn't been expecting an attack like that. He closed his eyes, trying to refocus himself and ignore the fading pain. When he opened them again, he could think properly again. "I-I'm fine. I just....didn't know that could happen." He touched his head lightly, then shook it. "Don't worry about me. Let's find the others. That's the important thing." A fading headache wasn't important, not when they were so close.
Aria glanced up from the movie. "Seawitch? Maybe." Her sea green eyes closed briefly as she thought. Opening them again, she nodded. "I think so. Not much though. He said he didn't really care for her. Do you want to see?" She asked, rising from the couch. The tiger that should be....isn't....

((OOC: Off to bed now - I have work in the morning. smile Don't run away without me! xp ))
Tianara's concern was impossible to miss, but she reluctantly took him at his word and turned that way again. "All right," she said softly. "Let's go, then." She began to swim again, keeping her attention focused on possible dangers - the last thing they needed was another attack. "Keep focused," she said quietly. "I'm sure we can find them, but they might have some kind of guard on them."
She kept swimming, her mind entirely on finding the missing four. They were close; for the briefest second, she could have sworn she felt them. Or at least one of them - which one, she hadn't had time to tell.
They closed in on the location Tianara had felt, and found themselves in something of an undersea junkyard. The place was a warren of sunken ships, crashed airplanes, dumped garbage...there was even an old submarine there. Tianara kept reaching out, sensing for them.
She looked at Joshua at last, frustration evident. "They're here somewhere, I know they are. But I just can't reach them!"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((No worries. I was about to say that this is my last post for the night as it's getting late. XD ))
Joshua ignored her concern, though he was touched by it. It wasn't important though. He nodded at her warning, amber eyes flickering around them, watching. When they came upon the junkyard, he paused, raising an eyebrow. "Wow.....I wonder if it all came here by accident or deliberate?" He asked before he could stop himself. Then he shook his head, dismissing it. "Doesn't matter. Not important right now." He murmured, forcing himself to focus.
He followed Tianara's example, reaching out for the missing ones. He frowned, unable to find them. He looked at Tianara, feeling the same frustration, though he hid it better. "I'm sure they are. I trust you. The question is - Where?" He turned back to examine the junkyard. Where would be big enough to hide four merfolk? And keep them hidden physically and magically.
Something about the submarine peaked his interest. "Tianara? Would something thick, like walls or whatever, have an affect?" He gestured to the sub, explaining. "The old war subs were made with some odd metals and really thick walls. They were built to carry heavy explosives while withstanding serious pressure from the depths." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Mac nodded, "I know she's dead, but I never knew her capabilities and what she could do. There's gotta be stuff on her" he said.
Mike was busy watching the movie

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aria nodded. "Alright then. This way." She led the way down a hallway and into a spare room that was used for storage. "Grandpa doesn't really like her much, so most of her stuff is put in here." She pushed a few boxes around until she uncovered a small table at the back. "Here. This is all he has." On the table sat a statue and a few other odd objects showing the sea witch. A small picture frame held a poem written by hand. It was short, but it said all that it needed to.
Beware the witch, resting by the sea, Never trust her, not you or me. Chaos created, by her hand alone, Wars begun, by her seeds sown.
Beware the witch, resting by the sea. The tiger that should be....isn't....
