Londy grinned when he managed a solid hit against Jack. It made success all that much more sweet when he managed to avoid the bludger Jack sent back in retaliation. Haha! Take that! Taking a second to clue in on a different target, Londy took a swing at the first year beater, Kendall on the other team. Another of his cousins, too, made it a bonus. Now he just had to land the hit.

Zach looked over the pitch grinning. This was the first year that not only was he on time, but fully awake for tryouts. Granted, that had more to do with the fact that he was captain and had insisted on having tryouts in the afternoon instead of the morning, but so what? He was better able to think when he wasn't dying from whatever lack of sleep he hadn't gotten trying to get up in the morning. Which, speaking of that, he was going to hate the game times. Maybe he could persuade the school to start the Gryffindor games later? He doubted it, but it was a nice thought.
He got the pitch prepared and crossed his arms as he leaned against the quidditch hoops. The forms were already set out, the trunk with the game balls was ready, and he was dying to start tryouts now. Hopefully the team had a good turnout, but that was mostly because he was certain that the team wasn't going to have everyone they had last term. Well, no time like the present to find out, right?
