I don't think where I live most of the lakes would ever be cold enough to completely freeze over (however my grandmother did say there was a time long long ago that the dike froze over (the Gulf of Mexico!!) and she wasn't prone to tall tales ... but if any bodies of water froze over in South Texas, I'm not too sure I'd trust it... so short answer...No I have not!

No, I try to avoid them. I have a family history of relatives being severely allergic to bees, wasps and hornets. So I don't want to find out.

No- if I'm that thirsty, I usually buy something and then walk around the store with it if the wait to get home is too long.
