Sectumsempra Egg With a violent shake and a loud crack, the Sectumsempra Egg finally broke. Pieces of its egg were literally thrown around, and a snarling, hissing, green stood where its shell had once been. Her teeth bared, and her eyes whirled bright red. She squawked in protest, though she did lean forward to headbump her sister.
Turning her head, she glared balefully at the white robed Candidates before her.

Dementor Egg The touch of Imperio was about all that the egg seemed to need. A little wiggle, a little shake and the egg began to open. Piece by piece was torn out, until finally clawed hand reached out. A very blue colored clawed hand. It seemed to make short work of its egg, shaking off pieces of the shell, tearing it open, until it was finally able to roll out of the egg.
Everyone seemed to be getting a little more anxious... This suited him better than all that good cheer.

Helaku // He/Him // Western
"Old superstition, I think," was Helaku's answer to the other Candidate, recognizing him as another from Western Weyr. Not from the creche, so probably one Searched to be one of the influx of people standing for a chance to become a dragonrider.
Then there were more eggs cracking, with still more beginning to rock in earnest, and his attention went back to them. First one green, then another, and...oh, a little queen! His heart went out to the anxious-looking Hufflepuff gold as she seemed to struggle to bring herself across the Sands to hers. Oh, hey, it was a girl from Western! He let out a tiny little *whoop* of a cheer, stifling it quickly. Don't startle the hatchlings, he admonished himself. Still, he was happy for her Impression.
Another green and a blue hatched and two of the greens Impressed. There were now starting to be a fair amount of dragonets on the Sands, and Helaku was trying to keep an eye on all of them. The Slytherin bronze seemed to be peaceful enough...for now...but the Crucio green sent chills down his spine for some reason. Probably that really creepy laugh. That was an "I'll maul you for giggles" kind of laugh. Then she, and a newly-hatched brown from the Imperio egg, unshelled another bronze. Oh boy...he has a temper. Or maybe he just didn't like mornings. Helaku could hope, although there was something about the movements of the three that very much seemed like the Avada Kedavra bronze was their leader...
And then the egg that had caused such a commotion at the Touching fairly burst open to reveal...ohhh that was definitely an angry green. Snarling, hissing, and probably all too willing to carve a path to Hers. He almost didn't notice the Dementor blue neatly extricating himself from his shell, something about him sensing that the Sectumsempra green was possibly the most imminent threat, Crucio green's creepiness or not.
medigel So you know he answered just like forever ago probably since I had to bed.

A sweep of power rolled over the sands, echoing, in perfect mirror, the Avada Kedavra bronze's own menace. But the feeling coming from the egg was of protection, of defiance in the face of a great evil. For that was what they faced.
The sensation was coming from Expelliarmus, who had begun to shake and wobble fitfully. Perhaps the waiting game was over, and the time to act had arrived.
Crucio, who had leaned down to return her sister's headbump, gave a shriek of repudiation, aimed solely at that egg. The one that dared to defy her perfect brother!
But somewhere Amortentia had begun to stir slightly, rolling lightly over in its shell. What was all of this?

FISHER
Yeah this was not looking good and, if Fisher was still sort of sleepy from before, it was all gone now. Had that dragonet just...bitten the other one? And what the fresh between was with the seductive claws opening eggs routine? The more dragonets that spilled out the more angry everything seemed to be, even with that weird pulse of...defiance against evil? What the flipping wherry nuggets was this whole bit about evil anyway?? Fisher thought she was watching a hatching happen and not participating in a miniature massacre.
"Hey, lil' bit." The words were directed to Kinye, whom Fisher kindly removed from her foot before pointing over her shoulder with her thumb. "Ya may wanna get behind me for right now, least 'til we see what these flitter forks are gonna do." Fisher's opinion of dragonets had been that they were all kinda mild but the biting? And the blood??? Nope. "Also here, I know yer missin' a shoe so just stand on mine for now. The sands ain't gonna burn my feet much an'd if we gotta move I can just snatch ya up, okay?" Her massive sandal was off her foot and pushed behind, so Kinye would have something to stand on in the meantime.
Really, the candidate wasn't expecting too much trouble but what did she know? She just didn't plan on dying out here if one of them got a wild hair up the tail, and even though Fisher didn't think she could fight off a bronze or a brown she was willing to try. Let one of 'em come for her or the kids around her - maybe they'd see what someone raised at sea could do in a fight.
demon_pachabel fisher ain't much but she will do what she can to ensure she survives, which applies to kinye too

SOUI
Maybe from where she stood with Dehka, her hand still in his, Soui was a little nervous. The only clutch she'd seen had been so peaceful, the dragonets nothing but kind and calm but this? She'd only just managed to calm herself down from the tears of earlier only to find herself getting nervous again over the seemingly sea of red eyes.
Except this fear wasn't for herself, it was for others. How would she be able to help them? Could she help them? She'd been denied bringing out supplies, and she was told the healers wouldn't move on to the sands until everything was done, but to Soui that was downright unacceptable. With her free hand moving to touch the base of her robe she found it could rip easily, if she gave it a pull.
She could help, she would help. There would be no waiting for her if someone was injured, not at all. No hesitation, no fear, no anxiety.
Tsunake she hasn't moved, just thinking and reacting

Ruunan [HR] - 16 - he/him/his - App Woodcrafter
smerdle rykin -- still just panicking over the army of dragonets
They were… waiting.
And judging.
Ruunan felt his heart tremble in his chest. Now, more than ever, he wished he’d declined candidacy. He wasn’t ready for this. They looked serious, and ready for anything… ready to do whatever it took to find their riders.
He felt his father’s gaze on him. Felt the words he’d never said- man up, face them, Impress. And he didn’t want to. The Fear Monster was scrabbling, begging for release. And his feet were firmly locked in place.
Even the glorious (and slightly) amusing hatching of Go the Distance was enough to distract the young lad. That Bronze… no. Surely it wasn’t going to draw more blood? The candidates had been taught and instructed in how to interact with the dragonets… but the dragonets seemed… well… dangerous. They seemed menacing. Why didn’t they get lessons?
“I think… I think we’re about to face imminent doom.” He said uneasily, shifting from one foot to the other. Worse comes to worst, he could run. There was no shame in running. To the back of the Sands, where other, more practiced and seasons fighters could restrain the dragons.
