Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings. Right before they belch forth their flame, they suddenly jerk hard to the right, almost in a roll, and quite unexpectedly. Sure enough, a gust of wind would have whipped the thread back in their face! Instead, the strand whips by, and your dragon is able to successfully flame it. [+1 Instinct]
Fool me once, or so the saying goes. This time, just before flaming the strand, Cyndreth twisted away, avoiding the thread being pushed directly into his face. With skill and pride, the dragon let out the flame, finally, burning the thread with ease.

Oh no, look out! A small clump of thread broke through the ranks, and has managed to hit your and your dragon. It is an ugly tangle, and though you blink between, it's going to hurt! They were back in business, but Ar'ad noticed they were low on firestone. He had Turoth call to one of the weyrlings and his rider, and after a moment the young dragon was heading up to them. Ar'ad caught the stone that was tossed to them and he gave a little wave of thanks as he replenished their stock. They'd certainly need it higher up.

Restocked and ready to go, Turoth went after a strand of Thread that was sailing down to the ground below. He rolled suddenly, almost catching Ar'ad off guard and he certainly would have if they didn't have such a close bond. The Thread caught the wind and blew back to the spot they would have been before turning to ash as Turoth flamed it down.

Wingsecond - Negate Damage from Roll
As pride swell watching his wing moving confidently he noticed one of the having a little bit of trouble with the thread. “Watch out, hang a sharp left!” He hoped his voice would carry to K'srin as Fadeth did his best to send the message quickly to Cyndreth.

Once more Ar'ad felt something was off. He glanced behind them and spotted the Thread, and like a well oiled machine, the two jumped Between to reappear behind the Thread, searing it from the sky.

Things were going well and they were getting ready to cycle up to the high altitude wing, but just as they seared another bit of Thread and blinked Between to rejoin their spot in the wing, a miscalculation sent them into a sheet of Thread. Turoth bellowed in agony and Ar'ad felt the cold of Between without even urging him to go there. Shard it all, things had been going so well.
A nasty bit of thread was headed towards them, but at the call of their wingsecond, the bronze veered left as sharply as his massive form would let him, narrowly missing the tangled threads. Thank Faranth for E'nd! Not that Cyndreth would thank him--besides, there was hardly the time, as...

If a bronze or brown, thankfully, your dragon is able to fight the current of air, and keep their position steady. [+1 Stamina] If a green or blue, you're thrown completely off course, and your wing hits a tangle of thread. [Minor Damage -3 HP ]
Miehrath was distracted by the pang in his mouth, as much as he tried not to be. It was enough to cause him to lose his bearings when the air below him pushed him upwards. Luckily, he didn't hit the thread tangle head on, but rather, his wing grazed it. A quick hop between eased the pain, and his tongue aches were long forgotten.

Before Miehrath could fully regain his "footing," another thermal rose, barreling the blue of course. This time, it was his poor rider who took a score to her arm, eating through leathers, but after a quick between, the thread fell away, leaving only a superficial wound. Still..the pair was looking worse for the wear. They only had a little longer, though, and neither wanted to give up...
Your dragon flames a small strand of thread, but unfortunately, a gust of wind blows the ash back into you. Your dragon hisses in pain, and if your face isn't protected, you might get a burn yourself! Thankfully, the burn isn't severe, and your dragon at least can carry on. [+1 Pain Resilience // -2 HP]
Once Miehrath found himself (somewhat) stable, the poor dragon sent a belch of flame towards a single strand of thread. The ash cloud, however, was blown back at them. Sharding wind! The pain hurt Miehrath, and Onyx winced as she shielded her face--with her injured arm. Ow. At least her face wasn't burnt, though--that would have been much harder to heal.

Finally, Miehrath and Onyx could catch a moment to breathe. Things were surprisingly chaotic (and painful) in the lower altitude, but the pair managed to recover, and once they had, diving for the few bits of thread that they spotted was no big deal. With a small yet well-aimed burst of flame, it was naught but cinders.

You're low on firestone! If you've already replenished recently (within the last 5 posts) you may choose to skip this roll and just do a general post for no XP. OR you can keep it and blame it on a faulty bag, or some other excuse for being without stone. Call for one of the weyrlings to send you another sack of stone! [Flag down a weyrling! Set'al and Bronze Pipith
The firestone arrived courtesy of a green, although it was hardly the smoothest of deliveries - not that that was Shanaloth's fault, but rather the winds. He swooped to make up the distance so that His could catch it regardless. This, however, was hardly smooth either, and his wing-edge was caught by a sliver of Thread. Shaffit! The little bronze popped between and was back within moments.
It is only a scratch, he supplied, gruff but not accusatory. I will be fine. Thank you for the stone.
