Lyviel followed the group quietly, staying up in the trees. She had figured the demons would become to restless and would attack, so was ready for the quick departure. Lyviel listened to the conversations carefully and then decided to head to the very top of the trees, sensing demon coming from the dirrection they were coming. Once she was at the top of the trees, Lyviel saw swarms coming from the direction they were coming from and from a couple of other directions. She quickly went back to the ground and landed next to Uri and Nerevar. "We can't continue in this direction." Lyviel said, paying attention to her surroundings as she continued to run alongside of them, not having as hard of a time and not as tired as the humans. "The demons know where we are headed, or at least what dirrection they are headed, and have sent forces to swarm us from that direction." She continued. "The only direction they are not coming from is...the West..." Lyviel said, the last part a little less reluctantly. She continued to run alongside them while keeping her senses clear and paying attention to their surroundings.

Nerevar listening to Lyviel, closed his eyes and relaxed searching about him, and there it was the bioelectricity of the demons ahead. Whilst Nerevar was occupied with something his abilty to detect was limited to an area, a large area it may be but in terms of ambush it wasn't large enough. "How could you be so stupid as too let the possibilty of that slip passed you!" Nerevar thought. He now reached out around the landscape... "West Lyviel said.... they're trying to direct us..." he searched for the weakest number of demons about and targeted it. "We have two options," Nerevar said aloud, "The demons are trying to direct us west, now there is a small window of oppurtunity there in the form of a gap in the demons ranks... Uri could use his power to slow them down in that area giving us time though we are still heading west, also there is no way of telling how the demons will respond to this. The other option is at a point south-east of here, the demon presence there is weaker, we stand a good chance of breaking through there though there are risks accociated with this obviously, this also gets us closer in the direction Lutra wants us to head."

Looking around, Uri could feel the energy from everyone, something her could not sense till now. He jumped down, next to Lutra. He thought,"How troublesome this has become." He then reached for his pouch and pulled out a small peice of paper with a colligraphy pen and ink. He wrote out the sign for Gaia Fuuin and layed it out across his hand, with the written part facing on the palm of his hand. He turned to Lutra,"Bring your shirt up to reveal your belly."

"what? i---" Lutra thought it best not to ask, lifting her shirt to reveal her stomach, stopping. her mind returned to the routes, her foot tapping absentmindedly as she muttered. "south-east would be the best bet, return the bearings to the simplest kinds. blast, how . . ."

"If nothing else, we could always fly," Amie said. She could carry quite a bit of weight. "If nothing else, it could give us the element of surprise over the demons." She had followed close behind everyone the whole time, watching each and every one of them. "What are you doing anyway, Uri?"

"Just watch and see," as Uri pushed the paper against her stomache. He made sure the ink was wet before he applied it on her skin. "This is a special sign, Gaia Fuuin, one which increases the strength of a person's body. This is troublesome becasue I would normally use my paper for tags as traps but I see this would be more use to you. I have very few so keep this attatched as long as you can. As long as this tag is in place or the ink remains on your skin in this sign you will be able to do about ten fold your original strength."
Uri lifted his hand seeing if the ink would be dried fro mthe body heat of Lutra. As it stayed in place, Uri licked his index finger and applied he saliva to the edge of the tag, where there was a sticky subtance to react and keep the tag inplace. "This leaves me with a few tags left but this will do for now. Let us continue, if anything gets in our way we will have a fighting chance now."

"I said, 'we could always fly'," Amie replied. "I can carry a lot of weight and it would give an element of surprise over the demons. They wouldn't expect an assault from the air, I don't think."

Lutra let her shirt drop, holding a hand on her stomach to keep the paper in place. she nodded her thanks, eyes darting between Uri and Amie. we have to go. flight will make it harder to defend, but harder to attack as well. could i find it from the sky? still thinking about the problem, Lutra climbed up a tall tree and sat in the highest branches. she looked around, identifying landmarks that breached the sea of green and brown.
she dropped to the ground, waiting for a break in the conversation. when one arrived, she quickly filled it. "how fast can you fly?"
