If we enter a costume in a 'speciality category' that does not have the same skin colour/gender/general characterstics as our current avatar, is it still eligible (for that specialty category)?
Will said costume be automatically disqualified from the 'overall category'?
And is it still eligible if it's technically impossible to accomplish on Gaia? (i.e. TekTek's layering allows for it to work, Gaia's layering would not)
Finally, does 'two entries max' mean 'two different costumes max' OR 'one costume max, but it's entered into two categories [speciality & overall]'?

For your first question the avatar you submit for the specialty category does NOT need to look at all like your current avatar. Especially since you would need it to be different for certain categories, like the cosplay one.
Second question, you are allowed to enter one entry in the overall and one in a specialty category. So the costume you submit into the specialty isn't entered into the overall.
Third question, I don't see why the layering issue should be a problem. It's the tek tek you send to us that counts.
Fourth question, Two entries max means two differente costumes max in two different categories.
First, correct Sanzo. The specialty costume can be whatever. If you want to be a crossdresser for halloween I won't stop you here and as Sanzo said it'll be essential for some categories.
Second, Incorrect. You can enter the same costume in both the specialty and the overall categories but your chances might be lesser.
Third, Layering is not an issue. The goal here is to make the best costume you can. If that means layering things that Gaia won't let you, so it looks that much better, then do it.
Finally, Two costumes total. One in a specialty category, one in the Overall. That's it.
