The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Morning!!))
Joshua said nothing more, letting Tianara have her denial. She would believe him or not eventually, but he'd said the truth. He could say nothing more if she didn't want to believe him. So he waited, watching her denial break down into grief. He hated himself right now, for causing such grief.
Seeing the tears that threatened her, he felt his heart breaking. It wasn't right that she had to grieve like this. After a second he threw away his caution and moved closer to her. She looked like she needed the comfort, even if only from him, the bearer of bad news. He reached out and pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry." He murmured, stroking her dark hair. "I'm so sorry." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara drew in a shuddering breath when Joshua hugged her. Dropping her head to rest on his shoulder, she just stayed still for a moment. She needed to think about something besides this - if she didn't distract herself soon, she really was going to cry, and she didn't want to, not in front of Joshua, for...some unknown fear reason, she wasn't sure exactly.
She searched desperately for another question, but couldn't think of anything that wasn't directly related to her brother's death. Finally, the only question she could think of at all slipped out, in a whisper. "Joshua? Does my mother know?"
If she did, Tianara had to try and reach her as soon as possible. She'd been out for a while - long enough that her mother would probably think her dead. She couldn't allow her to grieve for two children any longer than necessary. Not for the first time, the girl was grateful Kiro had allowed them to take him home - he would be there for their mother. She wouldn't be alone.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua fell silent, letting his touch soothe Tianara. He knew words were inadequate. So he just held her, stroking her hair soothingly. It was something his mother had done to him when he was upset. He just wished he could do more than this. He wanted to make her laugh again, to brighten up the room with her smile.
When she asked her question, he nodded. "Yes. Jinx and Nezik....took the body back." He struggled to say the words. "Your mother probably also knows that you would be out for awhile." He couldn't say for certain what the blonde mermaid would know. All he knew for certain was that Jinx and Nezik had taken Kistad's body back. He just assumed that they'd informed her of Tianara's state. The tiger that should be....isn't....

((OOC: biggrin I love Cybil already. She'll be awesome, I can just tell.))
Tianara nodded slowly, remaining quiet while she thought for a moment or two. She winced a little when Joshua spoke of the two young ones taking back Kistad's body, but she was already beginning to recognize that that was all there was. Kistad - if Joshua was to be believed, and she had no reason to doubt him - had been gone long before his body died.
There was only one question left weighing on her mind, and then she could contact her mother. "Did I do it?" she asked softly, so quietly it was almost inaudible. "Joshua, did I kill my brother?"
It was possibly the only thought she couldn't face. That she had been so terrified, so driven to desperation that she had killed her brother. Yes, it had only been his body, but it wouldn't have felt that way - somehow she knew it wouldn't have felt that way.

((Who thinks the old seawitch should have lived inside a large dead sea monster carcass?))
Mac felt like he had to elaborate on his question. "Well, aside from the main story, I mean who was connected with her, and what has she done? Anything else you have heard on her helps" he pleaded with him. His Sea blue eyes giving him a hint of neediness.
Mike looked out of the window and tapped it, "Well I hope these windows are thick enough, I mean they seem sound" he said looking on to view the outside world. It was now raining.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua sighed at the inevitable question. "I don't know....." He said quietly. "I honestly don't know. No one does. We got there too late." His voice was filled with guilt and grief. He held Tianara closer, taking his own comfort from her presence. No one would ever know what had transpired between Tianara and her brother. Kistad was dead and she didn't remember. "I'm sorry. I wish I could say you didn't. I don't believe you did, but no one really knows." The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Allen leaned back against his pillow. "Well, not much is known about the seawitch." He said slowly. "It's said that she wasn't always so nasty, that once she was playful. No one knows why she suddenly changed though." He spent the next while going over everything he knew and guessed about the seawitch. Over all, one solid conclusion was able to be drawn - Very little was known as solid fact. There were rumors and guesses and stories, but very little as "confirmed". The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara closed her eyes. She wanted that to be enough. Wanted to be able to let it go, to try and move on. But his "I don't know" now hung between them like a dark cloud. The girl knew it wasn't fair to expect Joshua to know what she didn't - she was the only one who had been there the whole time, after all. But she was so used to seeing the boy as...infallible, she supposed. As knowing all the answers.
"Okay," she said at last, quietly. She turned to him, curled in a little more. For right now, she needed his warmth - it seemed that all of hers had fled. She felt cold, right down to the bone, and knew she could not contact her mother like this. The mermaid would feel it in her thoughts. She had to wait until she had straightened herself out.
"I'm afraid," she murmured, almost without realizing what she was saying. "I'm afraid that I might have done it, Joshua. I don't know if I could live with knowing I could do that, I was capable of that. I think I could survive it, given the..." her mouth twisted ruefully, "...the circumstances, but I just don't know."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua stroked Tianara's hair softly, craddling her close. She seemed to need the comfort and he wanted to help however he could. He was quiet for a minute letting her speak. When she finished, he paused before saying. "I don't believe you did." He said quietly, firmly.
He waited another half second before continuing. "I honestly don't believe you could do that. It's not who you are. You're too sweet, too kind, too gentle." He murmured to her, blushing faintly. But he ignored it and kept going. "You might have been able to knock him out or away, but I don't think you could have killed him."
He seemed firm in his belief, as if nothing could sway him. "Besides..." He touched her wrists lightly, drawing her attention to the marks there. "You were bound....." The tiger that should be....isn't....

((OOC: XD These two are so adorably dense.))
Tianara's eyes rose to his, and there was a kind of startled-doe look in them. After a second, it relaxed into gratitude. She lowered her cheek to his shoulder again. "Joshua." It was breathed out softly, almost on a sigh. "I believe you."
It was more than a thank-you. The relief that swamped her at his words was too strong for something as simple as a thank-you. She believed him, all the way, and knowing that she could believe him made it better. She could not believe in herself, but she could trust that he really thought so - and if he thought so, she could trust him.
She was startled again at his next words. Slowly, she looked down at her wrists, and lifted them for examination. The back of her hand gently brushed against Joshua's chest as she examined the marks. "I didn't realize," she commented. "It doesn't hurt at all." Then she flushed. A silly comment to make, but under the circumstances, fair enough. How could she have realized, when she didn't remember? And they really didn't hurt.

Mac felt he needed to find out more. "Thank you for all you have to offer me" he said graciously. He turned to Aria, looking at her momentarily, until he was distracted by the intercom outside the room, "Dr. Velenn, please report to the front desk" said the voice. Maybe he should investigate on his own, he was adventurous after all.
Mike was relieved, "I'm glad I parked in the safe area" he said to himself. His eyes flicked across the window's view, looking at the trees bend to the will of the wind, looking like he wasn't phased much by environmental situations.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Everyone loves the clueless and dense. It's one of those things pretty much everyone but them can see. XD ))
Joshua smiled, relieved to hear that she believed him, that she could relax a bit. It meant a lot to him that she didn't refuse to believe him, like she had earlier. That had hurt, no matter how much he understood her denial.
When she examined her wrists, he took one of her hands gently in his. He took a closer look at the marks. He hadn't really gotten a chance to see how bad they were before, too worried about other things. "You're sure they don't hurt?" He asked conceredly. "They don't look nice at all." He touched the marks with the faintest, featherlight touch. The tiger that should be....isn't....
