Demanthra and Monath will be flying second wave


Demanthra allowed her green to deal with another thing of Thread, but she was worried that they might get hit, so thought of a clear space. She had Monath go Between and to the coordinates. When they got out, Demanthra saw a sheet of Thread coming their way. She urged Monath between again, giving what she hoped would be better coordinates. When they came back again, she felt Monath cry in pain as the clump hit her wing. Thankfully it was just a graze and was dealt with swift enough with another jump Between. This time when they came out, they were safe.

That was annoying,Monath huffed, but she didn't blame Demanthra. Thread was being tricky, they would just have to be prepared to pounce.



Second Wave Rolls

Hour 3, Round 1 (Mid Alt)
1. 4) You're so focused on flaming Thread that you miss a clump of thread blows up on the wind -- beneath you! If a greeen, or blue, you manage to jump Between ahead of it. Thankfully, your smaller size means you're able to avoid getting harmed! [+1 Between Accuracy] If a brown or bronze, your heavier size does cause your tail to get caught! [+1 Between Accuracy & Minor Damage - 2 HP!]
2. 20) You appear from Between and find the space you were hoping would be clear now has a large sheet of Thread being guested towards it. You've only a moment to decide where to go, and both you and your dragon pick a spot and hop Between in an attempt to avoid Thread. Roll a D4 and take whatever damage or XP you're given!
-2 You appear close to the clump. Your dragons wings are grazed, but another quick hop and you're fully clear of the danger. [Minor Damage -1 HP.

Demanthra and Monath will be flying second wave


Demanthra could feel the wind was against them, causing Monath to struggle. Her beautiful green was managing, however, she knew it meant she had to be alert for Thread being blown by the same wind. Thankfully, Monath is able to keep out of its reach, by moving as best as she could away from it.

Nope, don't want to play games with it,Monath said firmly.

They maneuver as they can, but still wind up scored. Minor Damage -2 HP

Demanthra and Monath will be flying second wave


Demanthra saw a chance for them to be of some help to one of their fellow wingmates. There were three clumps headed for them, while the pair were dealing with a sheet of Thread.

Shall we?she thought to her green with a smile.

Sounds like some fun to me,Monath agreed, heading in the direction of those three clumps. She shoots three balls of fire at the thread, turning it into harmless ash. She felt a swell of pride as she flies back into position, her rider sending her love and pride of her own in her.

If a green, or blue rider, the thread turns to harmless ash, and both of you can continue on your way. [+3 Target Accuracy] If a brown, or bronze, you can't quite get over there in time. You call out to warn them, and manage to at least catch one clump while your wingmates blink Between. [+1 Target Accuracy]

Demanthra and Monath will be flying second wave


Demanthra couldn't believe it had happened to them a second time. They were coming back from a jump Between, to a spot she had been sure had been clear. However, the wind was against them again and pushing Thread their way. She has to think on the fly again, so gives Monath coordinates that should be safe. Monath jumps Between and when they come back, the clump is close.

This time I am taking some of it down,Monath thought boldly, as she sent a flame at half the sheet. Then she followed her rider's new coordinates as she blinked back Between and to safety. She couldn't believe how amazing she was feeling right now.

-4 You not only manage to blink out of danger, but you blink back again, flame half of the clump, and blink away again only to appear a safe distance away. It's an impressive display of thread fighting power! Good job! Word will be going around the lower caverns tonight! +2 Extra Between Accuracy

The influx of fresh dragons who were rested and, hopefully, eager to fight made things feel a lot smoother now. Not that the larger dragons were out yet, just that the smaller ones had definitely been losing steam and it was time for a change.

Let's keep going, M'nr pushed, knowing they didn't want to be outclassed yet.

Unfortunately, the nearby Threadfall gets blown into your side and haunches -- and you were too big to move out of the way. Ouch, does that not burn!? Moderate Damage -8 HP


Staying in formation wasn't too hard for a dragon like Cordrath, but there was no moving nimbly and he and M'nr were hit quite solidly by the patch of Thread that was blown into them, sending both dragon and rider jumping Between.

M'nr was proud of how well Cordrath pushed through the pain to keep going - even with the wheeling and flaming and all of the movement that Threadfighting needed. He was a sturdy dragon.

Winds like this were nothing to a dragon as big and sturdy as Cordrath - though he did have to push a little harder to keep them from blowing him around.

Another jump away from danger was always in the cards - they'd just need to be a little quicker about it next time.

Gelith was as fresh and ready to go as ever as they took to the skies, Lutea emotionally clinging to her dragon as they emerged in the thick of it. Fortunately for Gelith, she could both do an amazing job of flaming, and keep Lutea from feeling too overwhelmed before she'd been eased into it all.

Being a small dragon meant that Gelith was more likely to be pushed around. Being pushed into a cloud of ash meant coughing, stinging eyes, and some general burning - but a blink Between would be enough to assure anything that HAD been alive was gone.

Another little jump Between would take care of that little strand of Thread, and Lutea took a quick look to see if everything, visually, looked well. We can keep going. That was...fine... her darling being hurt at all was never fine, but....

A little bit of struggle wasn't more than Gelith could handle as she pushed through the winds to keep fighting, Lutea sending her encouragement as she could.
