The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua had gone quiet, listening to the wind and the odd croak from the cabin. He glanced at Tianara, startled from his thoughts. "Hmm? Oh. Probably at least until dawn. Maybe longer. It seemed to come up so suddenly, and looked like it would come and go, but if that was the case then it should be gone by now." He frowned, thinking. "This storm isn't acting right. It's hanging on far too long and sounds like it'll be here for awhile."
A rain had joined the wind, rattling down on the roof of the cabin. Joshua shook his head at the sound of it. "Makes me glad I took the time to store my gear." He murmured to himself. Glancing at Tianara, curled up on the bed, he pulled the blanket over her. "Go to sleep Tianara. My cabin's nice and safe." He told her, smiling reassuringly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara shuddered briefly. Although she tried to smile again when Joshua pulled up the blanket, it looked wan and a little sickly. "Okay," she said quietly. "Okay. I...Don't go?" She winced a little at her own words - they felt childish to say. Almost babyish. Like she was afraid of her own shadow, or was asking someone to check the cavern for a monster in the dark before going to sleep.
She couldn't help it. She just had a thing about storms.
Trying to shrug off the comment a little bit, she explained softly, "I just...storms. I don't like them. Because...because of, you know." She laughed a little bit, ashamed and trying to hide it. "I know it sounds kind of silly. They can't hurt me or anything. Never mind. Don't worry about it."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua chided himself for not thinking of that fact. It was perfectly reasonably to dislike storms, after what had happened to her. So he just smiled softly at Tianara and shook his head.
"I'm not going anywhere." He told her easily. "Going outside is really risky right now, listening to that wind. I was going to move back to the floor and sleep some, but if you want I'll stay right here." He could see how much Tianara was nervous about the storm.
"Don't worry. It's nothing to be ashamed of." Joshua added softly. "It's perfectly reasonably, considering what happened to you." He didn't blame her or think any less of her for this fear of storms. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Mac shook Mike a little, and Mike snapped out of it. "Hm?" he asked. He had been deep in thought, thinking about the nurse. "I think we should leave, but where would we go?" he asked aloud. He was getting uneasy about this place, he never really liked hospitals all that much.
Mac held Aria's hand, "Anywhere with Aria is fine with me" he told Mike. He felt that he too should be other places, but the storm was ravaging outside. He actually saw a thick wooden post fly by and impale someone's window of their house. He cared for Aria a lot.

Tianara looked up at him in some surprise. "Of course it is," she replied, her tone suddenly a little more businesslike. "If I don't do something about it, it'll start to control my life." For a moment, it sounded like she was quoting someone else. Then she looked down, flushed a bit, and the spell was broken. "But...it's hard."
She didn't want to make him stay up, but she wanted him to stay with her, at least for now. Uncertainly, she shifted, and finally compromised as best she could. Curling deeper under the blankets, she shifted over to the side to make room for him. "I...You don't have to," she said softly, apologetically. The last thing she wanted to do was make him feel he had to do anything.
Tilting her head, she listened to the shrieking wind and shuddered a little, closing her eyes. "It's a bad one, isn't it?" she almost whispered. "I hope...you said it came up suddenly. I hope no one got caught in it."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aria glanced at Mac and shook her head. "We can't leave." She said, almost fearfully. Her sea green gaze flickered to the storm outside. "We'd be blown away or hurt by something." And she wasn't taking her grandfather out of the hospital only to put him back in it.
Joshua watched her shifting uncertainly and sighed. "I don't mind it, Tianara. I was just hoping to actually get some sleep tonight. I didn't really get much last night." He moved to the foot of the bed and reached over the edge, grabbing his blanket and pillow. With them in hand, he moved back to flop down on the bed. He pulled the blanket up over his shoulder and curled up.
At her comment, he nodded. He closed his eyes as he spoke. "It was really sudden but people around here are used to sudden storms. It comes from the land breezes mixing with the sea breezes." He explained. There'd been enough warning that he was sure people had gotten into shelter - Or so he chose to believe. And the people of the city were good about welcoming strangers into their homes when sudden storms sprang up. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara nodded wearily, her own tiredness quickly starting to catch up with her as her body realized just how much sleep it had been cheated out of over the past couple of days. Suddenly, a thought occurred to her and her eyes snapped open again. About to ask Joshua, she changed her mind at the last minute - she didn't want to wake him, seeing as he was starting to fall asleep.
She shifted, sitting up a little and looking out the window briefly as she reached out to Katalina, only to find the mermaid's mind firmly closed - she was probably sleeping. With an exasperated little sigh, she settled once more.
Was Addy okay? She hadn't had any updates, and in all the effort of trying to calm down her mother, she'd forgotten to ask her. After a second or two of deliberation, she changed her mind about asking Joshua. If she was okay, Tianara would find out in the morning. If she hadn't changed, that wasn't crucial. If...if she'd gotten worse, the young woman didn't really want to try and sleep knowing it.
So she just closed her eyes and settled down, trying to find the creeping exhaustion that had been coming over her earlier.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua tried to sleep, but with Tianara shifting around so much, it was hard to. After a moment, he gave up and opened his eyes to look at her. "Something wrong?" He asked quietly, wondering why she was suddenly so restless. It didn't look like she would sleep until whatever it was stopped bothering her. And apparently, he wasn't going to sleep if she wasn't. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Tianara, who had just settled down, opened her eyes again - slowly and a little reluctantly. "Addy," she murmured. "I mean, that is, Adamantia - I was just trying to reach Sorry to find out if she knew anything about how she's doing. It's nothing. I'm sorry I bothered you. I'll ask Sorry in the morning."
In the meantime, the wind had risen to a pitch that made it sound like a woman was being hideously murdered just outside the cabin, making Tianara shudder a bit. She scooted a little closer to Joshua without really being aware of it, and closed her eyes again.
If she slept, maybe the storm would die away while she couldn't hear it. That would be good.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Adamantia's fine. She's doing as well as can be expected." Joshua said sleepily, closing his eyes again. "Nezik told me earlier. It's looking very much like she'll live."
He frowned as he heard the wind rising even more. He pulled his blanket up over his ears to help block out the noise. It was more irritating than scary, though he was slightly worried by the groaning of the cabin. He knew it would hold but he was worried about the damage it would take.
Worrying about his house and home, he barely noticed Tianara moving closer. "It'll be fine." He murmured absently, trying to go to sleep. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Mac agreed and nodded at Aria's words. Where could they go? He couldn't risk being a spectacle outside, people would only panic. This sea blue eyes dart back to Mike, "We should stay here" he said.
Nira was on the roof of the hospital and smiled not affected by the storm, "Lets make it more interesting" she said. She waved her hand and an energy slice cut all the power cables to the hospital.
Suddenly, the power went out, and the only light came from outside.
Dao suddenly spoke, "damn" was all she said.

((OOC: Virused. >.< I'll be on very rarely and sporadically for the next little while. Forgive me?))
Tianara's eyes lit up, but she managed to hold back the flood of excited questions that threatened to come past her lips. Joshua looked exhausted. She had to let him sleep. As a matter of fact, she could use some sleep herself. It was time to shut it down for the night.
She let out a very soft breath, and smiled. Although she kept a bit of her attention on the wind - now shrieking so loudly it made her wonder (not without a little terror) if there was a hurricane coming in - she couldn't help but feel a little safer with Joshua right there.
With a firm order to herself to just go to sleep and let the storm look after itself, she closed her eyes. Morning would be there soon enough.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Of course your forgiven. Viruses happen to the best of us. Just worry about cleaning it up. No rush.))
Joshua breathed a small sigh of relief as Tianara said nothing more. As much as he liked answering her questions, he was tired and just wanted to sleep. Even the howling wind couldn't keep him awake for very long as he dropped off.
So deep in his sleep was he, that he didn't notice the winds rising to a shrieking level. The cabin started groan, visibly shifting in the strong winds. The shutters on the window rattled, as if the wind was seeking entrance. Even the door was rattling slightly, the sounds echoing around the small cabin.
Aria gasped as the lights went out. The only light was the very faint light trickling in the windows. She began trembling. She hated the absolute dark. When the moon or some other light was out, she was fine. But when pitch black like this happened, she became scared. It was one of her only fears. Allen instantly sought out her free hand, holding tight and murmuring soothingly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

As their eyes adjusted to the darkness, the storm clouds actually captured some light, and also some lightning added some moments of intense brightness. Mac held Aria's hand firmly, "Don't worry, its just a power outage" he assured her, "They usually have generators for these situations". Hospitals were a little creepy to a normal person in darkness, almost made it feel like one of those zombie video games.
"Wait here" said Mike. He left the room, but as soon as he left the door, he didn't stop. He walked down the hall and to the front desk, "When is the generator coming on?" he asked the girl behind the desk, "I'm sure it will be on shortly" she replied.

((OOC: Crap, I'm so tired...This week is hell on a stick for me. D8 ))
Tianara lay awake for a long few minutes after Joshua fell asleep, quivering slightly as she listened to the shrieking, howling winds around the house. Noiselessly, unable to truly relax, she slipped out of bed for a few minutes, pulling the desk chair over to the door and propping it under the handle. Silly to think that would keep out the storm, but it made her feel better.
Once that was settled, Tianara went back to bed. She was still edgy, but having blocked the door made her feel safe enough to stop prowling. Instead, she curled up beside Joshua, rather like a cat seeking warmth, and closed her eyes on a little sigh.
Now that she wasn't alone, it felt better. The storm was just a storm. She could sleep, and it would go away.
Settling in beside him, she fell asleep at last, leaving the wild winds behind.
