"What? Are you jealous or something?" Larai joked to Guile with a smirk.

"That I didn't have kids, sure.' Guile said.  

[M3Gnificent]

"Well, I didn't either so I'm guessing you aren't jealous of me per say." Larai joked. "In all seriousness, though, you'll one day get your chance. Just have faith!"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I never doubted it, my wife just cheated on me before we decided to. And I'll have you know I was quite popular with the witches back in my day!' Guile said.  

[M3Gnificent]

"My mom's one of the few witches remaining, I think. Not too sure about Grandma Marianne, though." Larai noted out loud to herself. "Hm. Well, I don't know about witches, but you'll definately find someone. Unless you go back to that wife of yours. I'm not sure if she'd still be alive at this point, sorry to say."

'What part of she cheated on me do you not understand? You can't really repair a relationship after that.' Guile said.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Good point. I know one couple who has, but then again, it took over a thousand years. Or so I heard." Larai said, thinking to herself. "Sorry. I didn't mean to be rude."

((I think it's one thing if magic's involved, but another if the person was just like 'your sex is not good enough'. XD And I love how said couple is in the same room. XD))

'Eh, that's reality, what're ya gonna do?' Guile said easily.

{I thought they were in a different room. How odd. I will at least assume that they're not paying any attention for some reason or another. Unless you want to make this one of those wierd awkward moments for the characters.
As for the reason, you have a very good point.}

"True." Larai replied with a small shrug. "...So, what shall we talk about now?"

((Sorry. I'm imagining this in an inn or something and everyone's just kind of kicking back in the lobby/cafe/diner/tavern/lower area where anime adventurers often stop in and then head upstairs to go to sleep. W/e, Jaq and Ariae are off in another part of the room being distracted by the lovey-ness. XD ))

'I'm a guy in a dagger that barely knows anything about what's been going on in recent years so don't look at me.'

"I guess I should explain things a bit better than before. You see, with the rise of technology, magic is being used less and less and is probably non-existant in most areas. Crime is rampant, the land is nothing but sand and dust, not to mention that most of the gods have completely lost their powers and immortality. So in other words, s**t stinks." Larai explained. The very ending of her explanation may be a bit surprising to others who knew her well, since she didn't use such crude profanity very often...much unlike her author.

'Jesus Christ, it sounds like the world's getting ready to end....' Guile said.

"Either that or it's the beginning of a new age. Or the world is reforming. Either way, I doubt it's ending. It's just going to be a bit chaotic for a few hundred years." Larai said, shrugging slightly once more.

'Bah. What can technology do that magic can't? People are stupid for buying into things like that. This is why I'm glad I'm not a mortal. They're idiots each and every one of them.'

"Magic can do many things that technology can't. Technology can also do many things magic can't. I believe that there should be a compromise between the two. After all..." Larai began, before adopting a wicked smirk and an evil glint in her eye. "...having both means I'll have more tools up my sleeves to work the games just how I want them worked."
