The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Joshua looked up from his cursing, frowning. Then he registered what Tianara had said. "You've got another one?" He asked, the frown slowly disappearing. He sighed in relief, the frustration in his disappearing.
"Yes, another one would be useful. I don't want to have to sit out, just because I lost my air tank. I need to get a bunch of new stuff from town, but nothing is going to be open for today and maybe even tomorrow." His amber gaze flickered around the clearing and it's signs of storm damage. "Everyone's going to be busy fixing things. I can't recall ever seeing a storm that bad." He added softly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

((OOC: Sure, okay. It doesn't really matter that much, does it?))
Tianara nodded, picking up the tank again. "It doesn't look exactly like this," she said, running her hand across it. "And it's kind of old. But it's a lot like it. I'll ask Kiro."
She set it down, just to catch what Joshua said next. "I wouldn't know," she said with a trace of a smile. "Except for...when my mother adopted me...and now, I've never seen a storm at all." Any that would have been strong enough to reach the caverns would have been incredibly bad. Tianara couldn't remember ever seeing any like that.
Of course, in the rare times that her mother or one of her brothers took her up to see the surface, she had seen a storm or two. But it wasn't often at all - usually, when they realized that it was storming, they'd immediately taken her back down. Tianara had never questioned it.
Leaving it at that for now, she reached out silently to Kiro to see if he was awake, asking Joshua at the same time, "So do you think it hit the town any worse than us?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Sure thing.))
Joshua shrugged. "Well, we'll see how it works when we get a chance." He smiled at Tianara. "You're lucky. Some storms get pretty bad. Not usually this bad though." At her question though, he tilted his head to the side, considering it.
After a moment, he shook his head. "I doubt it. Maybe a few blown out windows, a few things tossed around. But the town has those cliffs to help buffer the winds, not to mention all the tall buildings. It's these little coves that get hit the hardest, because there's nothing to protect them." He waved his hand around them. Some trees were leaning awkwardly, others having fallen over entirely. Sand had been tossed everywhere along with small rocks. In general, the place was a mess. The tiger that should be....isn't....

I am the second coming... Daniel The Abyssal The rain stung at his skin, no longer warning him of an oncoming attack, but letting out its full fury to punish his stubbornness. Nonetheless, stubborn Daniel remained and sat outside, on the edge of the dock. One by one mother nature sent her little soldiers to pound at him, but once they met his skin, there the fight ended. The heavy rain was more pleasant than dangerous to him, because it was the closest he could get to swimming without actually being in the water with this kind of weather. It was a little intoxicating, and in no time Daniel was daydreaming that the rain was red, and that his father's face was hanging over the grey horizon. There, on the edge of the dock he fell asleep in the middle of weather that could easily push him over and drown him, his wet red hair covering his face along with his hated identity. ...The heavens will bleed again.

Tianara nodded briefly, half-listening and half-occupied with Kiro. After a bit, she smiled. "He says he'll bring it by. Roky wants him to check up on Sorry anyway, so it's a convenient excuse."
She looked around at the damaged trees, and her gaze unwillingly tracked over to the cabin. Her eyes widened. "Joshua." It was a strangled little word. "Look."
One of the trees - a huge old thing that must have once been quite magnificent - lay crashed on its side, on the same side as the window that had blown out in the night. It had probably just missed the cabin itself.
Shoving her hands into the pockets of the jeans she had borrowed from Joshua and still wore, Tianara went over to examine the big tree. Looking up, she asked gravely, "How much do you think it would have hurt if this fell on us?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Holy jeez, there's someone new.....))
Joshua looked up at the sound of the strangled word. "Something wro-oh....." He cut himself off as he saw what she was looking at. He sighed at the sight of the tree on it's side. "It made such a nice look out too....."
He walked closer, putting his hand on the trunk of the old tree. "Hurt?" He asked with a slightly bitter laugh. "Tianara, if this tree had fallen on the cabin, there's a pretty good chance neither of us would be standing here." He ran his hand along the rough bark. "Something this big could easily bring down the entire cabin, and us with it. And if it didn't kill us, it would certainly be extremely painful." The tiger that should be....isn't....

((OOC: You don't say. razz ))
Tianara shuddered a bit, also reaching out to touch the trunk. She turned her eyes up to meet his, and seemed about to say something when there was suddenly a great deal of splashing coming from the beach.
Jumping, Tianara backed away as if the air between them had suddenly been set on fire. "It's Kiro," she said, as though that explained something. Then she turned and ran lightly down towards the beach, calling, "Kiro, Kiro, did you find it?"
There was a muffled response, and Tianara laughed as she continued on her way towards the water's edge, to meet the dark-haired man who came out to join her, hauling an old-fashioned air tank as though it were a sack of bricks.

I am the second coming... Daniel The Abyssal Surely and quickly, Daniel's tired sleeping body was shooed off of the precious dock and onto the wastebin ocean beneath. There his body floated despite thrashing waves away from the dock, till he was a ways out, yet still asleep. Moments later his dreamy eyes finally fluttered open and he found himself feeling quite cramped. "What the..." He was in a net full of fish, hoisted onto a large fishing vessel. Luckily, Daniel was at the edge of the net and the sailors spotted him and cut him loose immediately, and grinned a little as he fell to the floor with the rest of the fish. He got up quickly, and looked about, hand on his head and looking quite innocent. "And... Where might I be?" He asked the man in front of him.
"Why, you're on the St. Mary, me boy! Largest fishing vessel sailing the seven seas!"
"Uh-huh... So, I assume this is a very wealthy ship?"
"You bet, and we take pride in th-"
Before the sailor could finish his sentence, Daniel had raised his waterlogged pistol and flung it at the man's head, knocking him out. "I don't know why you idiots are fishing in this weather, but you better switch to swimming in it. Now."
Most of the fisherman took the hint and jumped overboard, but a few stubborn ones remained and dawned some of the deadlier fishing gear.
Daniel removed his sword from its hilt, and cut through each fishermen one by one, laying their bodies into a pile then scooping up some of their blood into his hands and flinging it into the air. After performing this borrowed ritual, he ran to the steering wheel and took over. ...The heavens will bleed again. (Damn that was a long one o.o')

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Meh, some of the posts in here can get pretty long.))
Joshua raised his head, glancing towards the beach at the sound of splashing. He turned to Tianara in confusion though, when she jumped away from him. Her explanation, if it could be called that, didn't really explain anything to him. So he simply shrugged and followed her to the beach.
He smiled and waved at Kiro, glad that the man had agreed to bring up the tank. He had no idea if it still worked or if it was even compatible with the rest of his stuff. But they would never find out unless they tried. "Hey Kiro! Thanks for bringing it up." He said with a grateful smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Mmph," Kiro replied eloquently. Making a face, he took the pin from the tank out from between his teeth and replied, "Not a problem. I had to come check up on a few things here, anyway." He ruffled Tianara's hair absently as he spoke, setting down the tank. "Where do you want this elderly behemoth?"
Tianara giggled. She didn't exactly know what the words meant, but just the sound of them was sort of funny. Kiro, looking a little amused himself, hefted the ancient air tank once again. "Hope you've been working out," he said lightly. "This thing is ridiculously heavy. I must have blocked it out after the last time we had to haul it around."
The girl frowned, reaching out. "I can help you, Kiro," she offered. "You probably shouldn't be..."
"Don't be silly, Tia," the man replied, shifting the tank. "I hauled it all the way here, I can make it up the beach. Besides, if what Mother told me after I woke up from Roky's healing was true, you need the rest more than I do." He put his hand under the girl's chin and tilted it up a bit, taking a good look into her eyes. Whatever he saw there, it put a slight wrinkle of worry between his brows.
Tianara noticed, and lifted a brow herself. "See anything green?" she asked.
"Nope, all blue," replied Kiro, making an effort to grin. "C'mon, Joshua, let's go see if this hooks up properly."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((I made a map at one point, but I can't remember what page it's on anymore.))
Joshua chuckled at Kiro's name for the tank. "Up here. I've been sorting through the gear, trying to see what's still salvageable." He said, gesturing up the beach, towards the cabin.
He stopped talking, seeing Kiro look into Tianara's eyes. "Green? Blue?" He asked in confusion, baffled as to what they were talking about. He led the way up the beach as he waited for an answer. The tiger that should be....isn't....
