((...I feel like I just watched a Pokemon version of the Backstreet Boys. The Pokemon musical has got to be the most pointless game addition yet, but it's awesome. XD ))

"Even if that was true, I'm still the most handsome of any idiot you'll ever see." Kai said easily.

"I know. But you're still an idiot." Larai replied just as smoothly.

"Then you must be one too, seeing as how we're both thieves." Kai said.

"And you thought they were all grown up." Van muttered to Mala with a chuckle.

"It's great to know that they're still children at heart. Makes me feel much, much younger." Mala said half-jokingly.

Larai stuck her tongue out at Kai for a moment before pouting and turning away with her arms crossed. "Hmph!"

"So now what do we do?" Van whispered to Mala with a slight frown, not wanting to worry anyone. "We've still got a long way to go, and we have a newborn baby with us. We can't take Anise, it's way too dangerous."

"Van, we'll be just fine. Nothing will happen to any of us that can't be solved. After all, the authors have taken quite the shining to us." Mala assured Van with a soft smile, knowing damn well that she was blatantly breaking the fourth wall once again.

((*pokes shards of fourth wall with stick* I think you killed it.))

"Shhh! We're not supposed to be aware of them! Stick to the script!" Van hissed back before clearing his throat in an attempt to regain his composure. "Besides, a witch and ex-god are one thing, a newborn baby is another."

{Sorry for taking so long to reply...and yes, I killed it like Family Guy kills comedy.}

Mala rolled her eyes slightly. "Fine, fine." After returning to the script, Mala then said, "We will just take less dangerous routes. Or we could leave Anise with Larai if we must venture into danger. Even if she is a blatant thief, she can be very responsible and caring."

"Is it just me or did I hear thin glass shattering a couple moments ago?" Larai asked herself softly.

((Or bad reality tv kills brain cells (I'm looking at YOU Jersey Shore!).))

"Not that I don't trust her, but I'd just hate to essentially stick Anise with any babysitter so soon." Van said looking down at the baby in his arms, a soft smile on his face. "She's a newborn baby, this is when the parents should be taking care of her more than ever."

"Then we'll just stick to keeping safer routes. In a worst case scenario, I could very easilly fry any dangers that come our way." Mala said, clearly not going to be convinced to back down now.

"Alright. Just thinking of the baby is all." Van said, moving one arm around Mala's shoulders as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
