At least I know we have someone that's been hired to be our new Activities Director.

Originally I was concerned because I had overheard our Dietary Supervisor talking about the positions she was looking for people to hire for and she had mentioned one of our current cook's names. And I was getting sad because II was concerned she was leaving and I've started becoming friends with her. But then during our Safety Committee, she started a conversation on how she was excited about getting started as the Activities Coordinator and all of the ideas she has in mind to do. I was so relieved when I heard that. And also a bit delighted because I tend to interact with the Activities Coordinators quite a bit. whee

Updated my avi's outfit in honor of my birthday coming up. Added a bit of rainbow aesthetic too since it's Pride Month.

It's sort of hard to get into Pride festivities myself since I'm used to our big local Pride event taking place in July. xd And the other Pride events that have been taking place are when I'm working, so I wouldn't be able to check them out anyway.

Just going to post here for a little bit until it's time for me to get off work.

I put together a little guessing activity for our residents and was worried I wasn't going to get any participants during the first couple days it had been up. It's a pretty easy concept. Four staff members (one being myself) are related to a celebrity/historical figure; there are three images of famous people underneath each one of us and participants have to guess which one of those three people we are related to. The top 3 individuals with the highest score of guessing correctly will get a prize.

I'm hoping I get more people who turn in a completed sheet because it would be a bit awkward if the one resident I sort of did a sliding result on ended up winning on the prizes. What she had written down was mostly her name or random words... or just copying names that were on the poster; one of those names was one of the correct answers (though it was put under the wrong person), so... xd

Plus I now have to think about what prize(s) I want to give the winners. Originally I wasn't putting much thought into that aspect because, like I said, I didn't even know if anyone was actually going to participate. Like... why bother worrying about getting something if nobody ended up taking part in the activity.

I've seen quite a few residents look at the poster and talk about it but they haven't actually come to fill out a sheet. sweatdrop

*shrugs* I guess I'll just wait until July 5 (which is my end date for people to turn in their activity sheet) to see who else will turn in their sheets.

I didn't really feel like getting up today. Just wanted to keep sleeping. But... work. whee

It really bothers me when someone decides to rifle through stuff on the Front Desk, obviously looking for something. Discovered this morning that one of our residents must be helping herself to her appointment envelopes... when it's not even ready to be given to her yet because the appointment is still days away. stressed

Not to mention, the evening staff always leaving their cleaning supplies behind on the Front Desk. Like... come on, people! Show a little respect for your fellow co-workers. You wouldn't want people leaving unnecessary "junk" on your desk (if you had one), so why would you do the same to another person?

In happier news, I finally got to borrow the eBook version of The Viscount Who Loved Me from the Bridgerton series. I've been waiting for almost a month for my turn.
