Van smiled brightly, getting those warm, parental fuzzies from getting called 'daddy' by his all-grown-up daughter. "Well, I hope that feeling is temporary. I can't see dark and brooding fitting in too well with this family."

Larai chuckled. "I doubt it. Which is why you aren't getting any grandkids from me."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Aw, you don't want to feel the warm fuzzies of parenthood?"

 

[M3Gnificent]

"The way mom screamed and cursed when Anise was born, no thank you." Larai said easilly. "I'd rather save myself from the unpleasant kind of pain."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"True as that may be, you have no idea how worth it it is." Van said with a bright smile.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Still, I would rather not. I like living wildly. I don't want to settle down." Larai said, keeping a small smile all the while.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"You're going to live forever, you make it sound like it would be for good." Van said.

"Knowing my luck, it probably would be."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Knowing you, you'd head back on the road as soon as the kid was out of the house, and drag your husband with you." Kai said.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"But that will never happen. Because I don't want that sort of life. Is it that hard for you all to grasp that I don't want to settle down - not even once?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"What part of 'comes with parenting' are you not getting? Every parent hopes their children will be happily married someday." Van said with a smile.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Not everyone has to be married and with children to be happy. I can make my own happiness." Larai pointed out with a small frown. "Besides, I can name hundreds of marriages that are unhappy. Over half of which have children too."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"When you two were born you had plenty of the gods' blessings, including the goddess of love. I'm sure those'll kick back in once we restore the gods' power." Van said. "Of course, it would also help if you actually gave men a chance."

Larai began to grow slightly irritated. "I find it annoying that I'm not allowed to go without interest without being critisized for it." Larai said, increasing her pace to walk further ahead of her family.
