I thik he mean like if one bids 100 gold you can only bid 150
then he shuldn'g have said 150% of the original bid b/c if the bid was 100-the highest you coudl go was 250 and if the bid is 500,000 than the highest you can go is 1,500,000
umm...dunno if someone let you know this yet lobo, but your math is a bit off ^^;
150% of 500,000 would end up being 750,000. Times it by 1.5. It cannot
exceed more then 150% of the last value...there is no addition in this equation. (so many people get these wording questions wrong on IQ tests and math tests its sad ._.)
EDIT: yeah, it's been answered, but the last statement still stands. Sarverio was right by math standards, and if you were to see something like that on a quiz, Sarverio would have been correct and whoever else incorrect. It's just the way it was worded =/
