I've been taking part in an anonymous gift giving thread today. (I'll provide a link to the original threads shortly.) It's been a lot of fun so I thought I'd bring some of that loving gift giving goodness over to the wondrous Any Topic Guild. In the spirit of giving, I have even dressed my avvie up as a gift!
4laugh What to Do:Just chat and give out random gifts (oh, and I suppose hope to recieve one).
smile How to Send and Anonymous Gift:1. Click on 'My Stuff'. This will take you to your inventory.
2. Click on the item you want to give as a gift.
3. Click on the 'Give as a gift' option.
4. Select the wrapping you want to put the gift in.
5. Enter the user name of the person you are giving the gift to.
6. Write a message to go with the gift. Try to write something nice. Don't be mean and say anything like 'I hope you enjoy this KiKi' when you're really giving them a cat band. That's just cruel.
mad 7. Click on the 'Give this gift anonymously?' box.
8. Enter your password.
9. Click finish then confirm the gift and ta da! Your gift has been sent!
biggrin Rules:1. Please make your gifts anonymous.
2. This is about the spirit of giving so don't just wait to receive gifts, give some out as well. It doesn't have to be expensive, it can cost as little as a paper crown or as expensive as a KiKi kitty. Either way, the person who you give it to will appreciate it.
3. If you receive a gift make a post saying thank you. People like to know that their gifts are appreciated. Even if you don't like it, it's the thought that counts. On that note, you don't have to feel obligated to wear your gifts either just be sure that you say thankyou.
4. Don't beg for gifts.
5. Don't gloat about how many gifts you have given/received. This isnt a competition.
6. Most importantly, be nice and have fun!
