Lord Setar Askeptykal Lord Setar Askeptykal Lord Setar Askeptykal I wouldn't call it a rule... I'd go more along the lines of "common decency" or something like that. ...yeah, that does sound pretty lame. To hell with common decency. If I'm pissed, I curse. I expect you to deal with it, not cry. And Rethion, "no cursing" makes the site PG, not PG-13. There is plenty of cursing in PG-13 movies. "No cursing" basically degrades the site to the level of little kids. Plus, there's a huge grey area on cursing - some people consider "Jesus!" and "Goddamn" and "damn" to be cursing, yet they're allowed to say "damn" in the Harry Potter books =/ At the least, let's hold back some of the harsher ones, like the f-bomb. I can't see how that would be needed that badly anyway. Sorry, but if you don't like my cursing, turn on the filter. It's there for a reason. It's not that I personally have a problem with it. It's just that it's sort of disrespectful for a guild to be swarming with major profanity, and it's easier to keep it down while it's not a problem then it is to try to remove when it does become a problem. If it does become a problem, you tell the people that have a problem with it to turn on the filter. Cursing is not a problem on its own, because it is a matter of opinion on if it is bad or not. The filter will not solve the problem. There are very simple ways to get around a filter. Now, this isn't an issue on good or bad; it's an issue of appearance. A cleaner guild will look more welcoming than one with swearing will, and we want Why Not to be friendly and inviting. Those aren't qualities one finds much of nowadays, even though they are desirable.

Those aren't qualities one finds much of nowadays, even though they are desirable. There are some people who still curse when they're mad. I'm one of them. The best solution is to just accept them for being who they are, and not potentially making them mad by telling them not to curse, as I know people who would probably curse even more at you if you told them not to curse when they do.

Lady Yazoo I hate Florida, and it's stupid drying my skin out with it's humidity and s**t. gonk Vancouver has monsoons in November. And November tends to be when it gets colder. Soaked in cold temperatures = Suck. But at least we don't have hurricanes, only windstorms that could probably barely make tropical depression status, despite sometimes being wind warning quality (faster than 70km/h gusts)
