Amaya held onto Adrian with a death grip for the first few minutes, but once they were high enough up and the city really came into view, she relaxed and a smile came to her lips. It really was a breathtaking view, one she'd never be able to see without Adrian. "It's beautiful..." She murmured to Adrian as she stared down at the city, smiling brightly.

Adrian chuckled a bit. "I have half a mind to break into song with 'A Whole New World', but I wouldn't want to freak you out with the aerial tricks and your fear of falling." he said as he headed for the Empire State Building and the tallest point around.

Face forgot himself for a moment as his targets took to the air, calming down within a few seconds and thinking on how to solve the problem. He'd never had to deal with a flying target before, strangely. After a moment's thought, he had his solution.

"New York City Police Department, how may I help you?"
"Hey. Saw a couple Muties flyin' around just now. They need a license for that, or what? I know that dude with a 'copter got arrested a few years ago for flyin' without one, just wonderin'."
"No, sir. They don't. Natural abilities don't count as small aircraft, ordinance passed just last month."
"Ah. 'sawright, then. Just wanted t'ask."

"I told you, I have no plans to ever let you fall. You could stand to have a little more faith in me." Adrian said with a smile, looking down at Amaya for a moment before looking back ahead of him. As he neared the towering skyscraper, it almost looked like he was going to run into it for a while before pulling upwards and starting to spiral around the building as he ascended to the spire on top. "And now you've got another reason why I decided to keep the wings. Easier to get around, and not many people get to see things like this with their own two eyes." he said finding a large enough platform for her to stand on before carefully setting Amaya back down her feet to let her take in the experience for a bit.

Amaya nodded quietly as they flew until he finally set her down. She held onto a nearby pole and looked out at the city, the smile never leaving her face. "Thank you Adrian...this is really beautiful." Amaya said as she looked at the city.

"I wouldn't want to share the view with anyone else." Adrian said hovering in the air beside her. "A bit of mistletoe would complete the night, but I guess I can do without." he said before moving in front of her and placing a soft kiss on her lips. "Merry Christmas, Amaya. I just wish it didn't take me four years to give you your present."

"Merry Christmas Adrian. I think I can forgive the time based on the present. It was certainly the best present I've ever gotten." Amaya said, kissing him back as she smiled. The cold wind blew and she huddled into her jacket a little. "Alright, as romantic as this is, it's cold. Let's go back to the apartment and get some hot cocoa." She told him with a grin.

"Hey, you don't have holes in your coat. You're not allowed to complain." Adrian said with a grin as he picked her back up and flew them back home.

"Psh I can complain all I want." Amaya teased. Once they landed in front of the building she got down and unlocked the door, letting Adrian in before she headed up the stairs and back up to the apartment. "Glad to be home." Amaya sighed once they got in the apartment and plopped down on the couch.

"You have no idea." Adrian said with a smile, standing in the doorway to shake some snow from his wings before joining Amaya on the couch. "Haven't even been here a day yet, but it already feels that way." he said cuddling up with her.

"Feel what way?" Amaya asked, cocking her head a little in confusion. She turned on the tv and flipped to some movie before she settled down.

A smile crept onto Amaya's face as she settled into his arms a little more. "I don't think I will find a reason unless you've suddenly picked up some creepy habit." She teased as she looked up at him.

"Nah. I might have picked up more angst, but no bad habits." Adrian said smiling down at her. "I'm frankly amazed I didn't turn into an alcoholic while on the road, as lonely men are want to do."
