Rolling for M'lem & bronze Tarienth :: NPC Wingleader :: Uta with her permission...
Quote:
If Wingleader you actually are on top of things today! You're here to look out for your wingmates and your seconds, and in this case, you manage to do both! Quote one your Wingseconds, or Wingrider and nullify any negative effects & negative HP from their most recent roll! This can include Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls! If Wingsecond you find yourself panicking. In a rough moment, you witness a catastrophe about to go down! Do you save one from Thread about to hit them, warn another they're flying directly into another's flame!? Who do you save!? Quote a Single Wingmate and have them lose -5 HP!
Harbingers Talis of blue Holleth HP: 23/23 Status Effect: If applicable. XP: Target Accuracy: 4 Flame Length: 2 General Stamina: 2 General Agility: 3 Between Accuracy: 3 Pain Resilience: 3 Instinct: 2 Luck: 2
Hour 3, Round 1 1. +3 Agility
Finally, it was their turn to fight! There wasn't much that caused Holleth true impatience, but waiting to join the fight against Thread was always a difficult task. Other dragons were fighting, some falling - one had died - and most of those he held dearest would fight the entire Fall. He knew well that they were strong and capable, but...he worried. Already they had lost family and friends, and no one was ever truly safe. Though he hid it well, he hated every minute spent waiting on the ground.
As he took his place in formation, he sent a tiny, quiet wisp of love and encouragement to Slidrianth. He didn't want to distract the bronze, of course, so it was small and brief, but it was there. Still, it was straight to work, as the little blue set to twisting and flaming, putting his agility to its best use.
Fi'don and Simariath Second Wave - Hour 3 Round 2 HP: 10/21 Status: Roll 4/5 Target Accuracy: 7 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 6 +1 General Agility: 7 +3 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 6 +1 Instinct: 7 Luck: 7
5. Wheeling, flaming, catching thermals, fighting wind.... Threadfall is nothing if not exhausting. Greens, and blues find themselves panting with exhaustion. This is more tiring than they thought. Trying to come up from a dive, they struggle on wing and wind up getting blown right into some thread. Ouch! [+1 Stamina, Moderate Damage -4 HP ]
Thanks to the boost in confidence, Simariath did well for a while, wheeling and dipping and rising and flaming as she went. She was slowly running out of energy though, and a little mistake caused her a bit of pain. She gave a little roar before jumping Between, getting rid of the Thread on her leg.
Fi'don and Simariath Second Wave - Hour 3 Round 2 HP: 5/21 Status: Roll 5/5 Target Accuracy: 7 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 6 +1 General Agility: 7 +3 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 6 +3 Instinct: 7 Luck: 7
3. Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a green, or blue take Moderate Damage -5HP but gain +2 Pain Resistance.]
Ash was painful, just like Thread, and while it didn't do more than singe it did make Simariath shudder. Fi'don knew that that was her limit and he got ready to have them jump back to the Weyr.
Harbingers Talis of blue Holleth HP: 23/23 Status Effect: If applicable. XP: Target Accuracy: 4 Flame Length: 2 General Stamina: 2 General Agility: 3 Between Accuracy: 3 Pain Resilience: 3 Instinct: 2 Luck: 2
So eagerly was he burning down Thread that it wasn't long before Holleth needed more firestone...and bit his own tongue. That was, well. Not the best thing to do.
Still, willpower could only get him so far, and eventually, the wind won, blowing them right into a clump of Thread.

Once more, the wind tried to push them out of formation, and again, Zijianth fought against it. He slipped only a little, just enough that a sliver of Thread caught his wing.

Disaster nearly struck when the pair betweened into a full sheet of thread but Neirinth, feeling much better than he had been, disappeared immediately again and reappeared, flaming down the sheet before disappearing back to his original position. His faux glittering wings flapped roughly for a moment as he settled his nerves and F'nar gave a warm smile, patting his hide.
