1x1 - Zelly & Anime

[M3Gnificent]

"I like that plan. Yes, let's do that." Mala said in agreement. "By the way, what kind of flowers did your mother and sister like?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I...don't really know if they had any favorite flowers....But I know we were always getting white flowers when we went to visit mom's grave." Van said looking over the selection, hoping to remember the usual bouquet of flowers they got.

Mala nodded slightly, looking over the many flowers and wondering which kinds Van would want to get.

After finally making his selections, Van had an armful of bouquets. He wound up getting three smaller ones, for his childhood friends from way back when, and four regular, slightly larger ones. They were all made up of yellow roses and white irises and lilies, all except for one that is. The odd one out was filled of red and white roses, deciding to get Mala something nice while he was there, though he tried to keep it hidden by the others for now.

Mala cradled Anise and smiled, waiting for Van to finish the transaction as she gazed down at their newest child.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Okay, maybe I should've made multiple trips...." Van said from behind the pile of flowers in his arms after he was done shopping.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"At least you know you smell radiant." Mala joked with a small smirk. "Plus, it saves you a bit of walking doesn't it?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"This is true, I just wish I remembered to look for my old friends' graves the first time around." Van said, somehow seeing where he was going through the petals. At least it seemed she couldn't see her present in the fragrant mass.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"You'll find them before long, I assure you." Mala said with a grin, oblivious to the fact that Van had gotten her flowers as well.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Okay, we're looking for a Darien Thatcher, Luke Fargo, and Cecil Curtis...." Van said scanning the tombstones for his friends once they got to the same area his family had been in, deducting that people during the same time period would be buried in the same area.

((E-cookie if you can guess the one name of those six that wasn't stollen from an anime or video game. XD ))

{I know one, Cecil, definately came from FF4. I think I have also seen Darien in some other anime game. I saw the name "Frgo" in Sims Medieval, so I am guessing that it is close enough to Fargo. So...is the one name Curtis?}

Mala nodded slightly. "I'll go look around for them and tell you if I see anybody. Alright?"

((BZZZT! It was Thatcher. It just sort of popped into my head at the time. Darien a la Sailor Moon's bf, Luke, Cecil, and Curtis taken from Tales of the Abyss, and Fargo actually from Chrono Cross. But you get an e-cracker as a consolation prize. XD *hands you e-cracker*))

In the mean time, Van laid down the flowers for his family before continuing the search. "Found 'em!" he called a short time later, stooping down in front of the graves. "You guys have probably wondering where I've been, but I've been lucking out big time for a while. Hopefully once the gods get their power back I can visit everyone in the afterlife, but that will have to wait for a bit." he said with a small smile, looking over the graves for a while longer before laying down the flowers. "Anyway...one for you...one for you....one for you....aaand one for you." he said, standing up to present the roses to Mala with a bright smile.

Mala looked quite surprised when Van presented her with flowers. "For me?" she asked softly in surprise, handing off Anise to Van as she took the flowers. She kissed him on the lips, letting it linger for a few secconds before she pulled away. "Thank you! I feel bad that I hadn't gone and bought you something now!" she said with a chuckle.

"My quota for random acts of affection is horribly low, I merely felt that needed to be fixed." Van said as he began to leave the cemetery. His work there was done, now he just had to face his home. "That, and I just felt like doing something nice for you."
