"Never mind", Kyrell said. He made a bow, intending to leave unless the priestess had wanted to say something else to him. News travels quite fast... Too fast even... That simply asking about the priestess would lead to a summon so quickly.

"Yes, actually. Would you be able to tell me where the pharmacies are, and if we'd find Luther there, or if he works from some other location?" Damien asked. He might as well get all the information he could.

"Alright then..." She replied, and told him the locations of the pharmacies. "Do you think you can remember it, or do I need to write it down?" She asked.

"I suppose you'd better write it down, just to be safe" Damien replied. Someone then came over to take their order.

"I'll just have hot tea. I'm not very hungry." She told the waiter as she pulled out a piece of paper and started writing the directions.

Damien ordered a light lunch, as he was hungry, but didn't want to stay too long. He then returned to what was at hand. He watched Shadow write things down.

"Here you go." She said, sliding the note over to him. Normally, she would have charged extra, but she really wasn't in the mood. She slumped back into her chair and took a deep breath, saying nothing.

"Well, thank you very much" Damien said. He folded up the paper and put it in a shirt pocket. "Feeling glum?" he asked.

"I bit. I was talking to an old friend who went through a sudden, rather large personality change. He was someone who was one of my main motivations for going into the business. After that... long and depressing talk, I realized that I have no motivation to keep doing what I'm doing. It pays well to dig in dirt, but other then that, what would be the point? It's almost pathetic really... to continually watch half of the world fall apart around you and to be the only thing left standing. I thought about getting honest work." She told him with a sigh. "But that would put you out of a good dirt digger, wouldn't it? I don't know... I suppose you could say I'm hitting my mid-life crisis."

"You seem a bit young to have a mid-life crisis. Of course, I suppose with the dangerous work you do, you never know how long you will live" 'David' said. The waiter the returned with the beverages for both of them.

"I suppose so." She replied. "But I'm sure you already know that I'm older then I look." She snickered, slowly starting to get a little of her normal humor back.

'David' nodded. "Well, what do you plan on doing if you decided to quit the business?" he asked.

"... I have absolutely no idea." She admitted bluntly. "Why, do you want to offer me a job or something?" She jested.

Damien chuckled. "No. I have a feeling you'd refuse anyway" he replied. He then took a sip of his drink.
