As Jakob continued eat he too was starting to feel a little full. Jakob could usually eat quite a bit when he was feeling hungry, but even this amount was a bit absurd. It made him wonder why Abel ordered so much, or if he simply always ate like this when Kieran wasn't around. It was a question he wanted to ask but was not entirely sure Abel would answer. It seemed that for now, their time for conversation was over. Jakob continued to eat his pancakes until they were completely gone.
Beside him, he felt the bed shift, and glanced to see Abel shoving his box into the paper bag and rising from the bed. He was surprised that he was already finished, but didn't question it. Instead, he watched Abel circle the bed and head into the bath. The idea of a bath sounded lovely right about now, but he didn't want to undo all of the man's work from earlier. He had nothing to cover the gauze and protect it from getting wet. He was going to have to take a bath in the sink once Abel was finished. It was probably for the best, less chance of him hurting himself. Still, he hoped he wouldn't be too long. He was starting to feel a bit sticky and gross. Jakob ate the rest of his fill before following Abel's example and placing his own box into the bag. He moved it aside and stretched out among the pillows and blankets. He hadn't spent that much time in Abel's room before, but he had to admit that his bed was quite comfortable.

He knew he was being stubborn but he hated being treated like a patient. Jakob had been injured before when he did need and he loathed it all the same. He figured that so long as he was careful, he could manage on his own. After giving him a kiss, Jakob continued on to the bathroom before pausing about clothing. While he was sure Abel wouldn’t mind him lying in his bed naked all day, Jakob did. He soon heard the male’s response and nodded. ”Thank you.” he called after him. As Abel took his leave, so did Jakob. He walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind himself.
Walking towards the linen closet, Jakob pulled out a towel and wash cloth. He took the items over to the counter and set them aside. He looked himself over, eyeing the marks Abel had left upon his skin down to the large bandage on his side. Perhaps he should have allowed Abel to help him but it was too late. He was likely out of earshot by now anyway. Picking up the wash cloth, Jakob turned on the faucet to wet it and ran it down his arms and chest. He took his time washing his upper body, carefully keeping the dressing to his wound clean. He continued to wash what he could of the lower half of his body, grunting softly as he felt a bit of pain from his side. He figured it wouldn’t hurt him too much to skip below his knees and his feet. It wasn’t as though he’d been running around in the mud. Jakob took extra care to clean his a** and between his legs, washing away all fluids from this morning’s activity.
Jakob eventually emerged from the bathroom feeling cleaner than when he entered it and came out just as naked as before. He had already dried himself and moved to the man’s closet. He rifled through his clothes a bit before taking a plain black shirt and slipping it over his head. The shirt was a little big and hung just below his hips. He contemplated just wearing that but decided against it. After more rifling he found a pair of lounge pants and pulled them on as well. When he was dressed, he was feeling slightly winded and moved to sit down on the edge of the bed. He hated the limitations of the wound. How he wished that he could just regenerate and be done with it. Sighing, Jakob crawled back in to bed and made himself comfortable. He laid there, looking around the large room, wishing he had something to do to occupy his time until Abel came back.

Lying in Abel’s bed he didn’t know how long he would be gone. Jakob assumed that he had better things to do than to entertain him all day. He sighed, wishing that he had something to do. He looked around the room in hopes to find a book or a magazine, anything really to pass the time. Sitting up again, he eased off the bed again and crept around the side to where his pants still laid on the floor. Bending down, he ignored the pain in his side and picked them up to fish his phone out of his pocket. Once it was free, he dropped the garment and tapped the screen. Nothing. The device had died sometime from when he last used it.
Moving about the room, Jakob searched until he found Abel’s charging cable and plugged it into his phone. He left the device to charge on the nightstand and decided to go see if there might be anything of interest in Kieran’s room. Jakob quietly stepped out into the hallway, noticing how quiet the house was. Abel must have gone down to the basement or outside as his office was empty. He glanced towards the stairs, not wanting Abel to see him. He crossed over to his ex-boyfriend’s bedroom and twisted the knob. The air was a bit stale as he flicked on the light. Jakob could see a thin layer of dust was starting to cling to the objects that had been left behind. Biting his lower lip, he crept further in and ran his fingers across the bedspread. How he missed sleeping in this bed. He moved towards his closet and picked up the sleeve to one of his shirts. He could still smell the heavy scent of his cologne, it brought tears to his eyes. Jakob sniffed and wiped the tears away. He needed to get out of here. Dropping the sleeve, Jakob moved back to the door and turned out the light. Closing the door he went back across the hall and climbed back into bed. He needed to calm down, Able could be back any minute and he didn’t want him to see him like this.
