{Sure, I guess. I don't know what to post for either way, so could you please do the honors?} "You know it'd all be spent before a hundred years passed by anyway..." Mala said, rolling her eyes slightly.

"I needed this..." Van said some time later, cuddled with Mala in bed. He didn't need sex, just some good comforting cuddling.

"It's been pretty stressful for you lately. I'm just glad I can do something to help fix that - if even a little." Mala replied as they continued to cuddle, holding a soft and sweet smile on her lips.

"You make it sound like a rare occurrence. Whatever happens, you'll always be my top choice for a pick-me-up." Van said with a smile as he nuzzled her neck.

"And you'll always be my choice." Mala said in reply, gently holding the back of his head with her hand.
{I don't know what to do...so...yeah. Feel free to start your twist whenever you can or want. XD}

((Well, it's after the whole Fountain of Youth/Atius plot so...TIMESKIP TO THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH CAVE! *NANANANANANANATIMESKIIIIP*))
"Alright, are we sure this is the right cave? I am going to be horribly pissed if we have the wrong mountain or something." Van said as he stared up at the gaping mouth of the cave that stood before them, hopefully the same one that held the blessed fountain they found for Mala once before.

{Ah, okay. XD}
"Positive." Mala said, doing her best to hide her own doubts as well. "Let's go check things out before we make assumptions."

As the group made their way down into the caves, the entrance shrank away behind them as the light got dimmer and dimmer until it was nonexistant. "Ah. Right. Dark cave is dark. I forgot about that little detail. Uh, does someone wanna...?"
"I got it." Kai held up a hand, forming a nice little ball of light as he walked alongside his father to light the way.

"Well, it certainly looks the same...." Van said, standing in the entrance to a large chamber far in the depths of the cavern. It had taken some time, but they finally got there. In the center was a small, natural fountain; a pond that gently bubbled up from the center. "Here's hoping this is the last of this crazy adventure..." he said as he went over to kneel at the water's edge, cupping his hands to bring the cool water to his mouth. He stayed still for a few moments before becoming frustrated. "Nothing...The water, it's perfectly normal...! This was nothing but a giant waste of time!" he said, slapping the pond and sending water splashing off to the side.

Mala gave a puzzled look. "What do you mean it's normal water? It can't be normal water!" she exclaimed, starting to get frantic. "We came all this way, left the ruins even! There's no way that this could be powerless, useless, normal water!"

"Well it is! It's just your average, run-of-the-mill spring water now!" Van said, grabbing a small, loose rock as he stood up before throwing it into the water with a splash.

Mala fought hard to keep herself from falling to her knees to weep. Instead of doing as she so desperately wanted to, she just stood there, clenching her fists tightly. She soon released her fists, as her eyes did tears. "This can't be real, right? Maybe we went after the wrong mountain after all! Yeah, that's it! Wrong mountain!" she said, nervously laughing as the tears kept flowing.

"Mala...you and I both know this is the right place...." Van said, walking back over and hugging her tightly. "....But there's no way a place like this can just lose all its power. Now I'm sure something's wrong. Innately magical races losing their powers, just like the gods, and now even the fountain? It can't be a coincidence."

"Then we need to fix it! Things can't just end like this! They can't!" Mala exclaimed, hugging onto Van tightly.
