Kai sighed and climbed up into a neighboring branch on the tree, snapping off a twig and poking her with it a bit. "Yoohoo...Larai...Magical crisis at hand, time to wake up now..."

Larai moaned slightly and turned her back to Kai, laying on her side now. "Five more minutes!" she pleased softly, still clearly half-asleep.

"Larai, it's dark out. Dad's worried and the longer you don't come back, the guiltier he'll feel." Kai said, continuing to prod her.

Larai whined softly once more, repeating, "Five more minutes!" After about three secconds she sat up and groaned, holding her head softly with her hand. "Damn it, why did you have to wake me up and remind me? Now I have to stay here longer!"

"Sooo you're trying to send dad on a guilt trip? I'm confused, what are you doing again?" Kai said raising an eyebrow at her.

"I slipped up and apologizing is too embarassing for either of us. So I'll stay here until one of us at least forgets why we were arguing to begin with." Larai explained with slight irritation, as if it were obvious. "Isn't this normally the best route to go?"

"Normally, yes, but dad being a worried mess is not what I would consider normal. I really don't think this is helping any." Kai pointed out.

Larai sighed deeply. "FINE. But I do not have to be happy about it - or stay after my safety has been confirmed!" she said, refusing to give in completely.
{Hooray indeed! biggrin }

"I'll let mom and dad touch that one." Kai said as he hopped down from the tree. "Just don't blame me if you just make him feel worse."

"Okay, just hurry up and take me to camp already. I don't need the extra guilt trip." Larai said with slight irritation and major embarassment with herself with a hint of shame.

"You don't need the help. You've got a fifty-fifty chance of mom giving you one instead." Kai said as he led the way back to camp.

{Sorry for how long I take in between replies. I think you were right. I am finding it harder and harder to come up with posts, but I don't want to lose this to lost inflation either. crying }
Larai groaned softly, not too pleased about it. "Please, don't remind me!"
