With one last little push and a full shake of her body Ngawanth took a deep breath and began to zip about like her normal self, V'gar gave a whoop of relief from her back and the two of them fell back into it.

Misuth was smaller side for a green. Where her large wings made up for her shortcomings in stride, it did nothing to help her against the huge buffets of wind kicking up at the higher altitudes. The warning trumpet was lost to the gales, responding weakly with Sorry... to her wingmate, to her concerned rider. Sh'vel held fast to his riding straps, feeling thread flick against him here - there, uncaring for himself as Misuth very literally was barreled through the skies. The winds were too strong to stabilize herself - but luckily eventually died down enough to find their place again in formation. She'd been feeling that one a while, her overtaxed wings ached.

As the light faded down into the embers of twilight, both rider and dragon breathed a small sigh of relief. J’er and Cyliodath were safe and sound on the ground, and aside from injuries that were to be fussed over, there hadn’t been any major damage -- now they only had to make certain they made it home safe, too.
Though the nasty slice of threadscore down his side that a few strands slide across makes the brown ache, as they take brief refuge between to make certain that it was all dead.

Almost as soon as they were back, Rouleth was already having to dodge thread. At this point, he'd do anything to keep the silver menace off of his rider--poor I'ar had taken the brunt of their last encounter with it, and he wasn't about to let him do it again. Rather than trying to loop back around and take care of the strands that had been coming toward them, Rouleth simply got out of their way, careful not to jostle I'ar too much in the process. Somebody else would have to handle that bit--right now, he was worrying about several things at once, and that particular scrap of thread wasn't important enough.

Misuth slowed, allowing herself to catch a moment's breath after her terrifying buffet in the winds, and after charring thread that came too near. Sh'vel ran a hand down her neck, feeling his little green dragon take a moment to pause, and to watch their wingmates flit about. All a sudden, she bugles in warning. Perhaps overcautious of wind direction after her spill. But, oh, she was right! The wind blew thread where the dragon had been a moment before hand.

Determination set hard in the brown’s frame as he eyed the silver threads all around him. Caironairth roars -- belching fire forth even longer than he thought he was able to do -- incinerating it to helpless ash.

Misuth satisfyingly crunched firestone, flaming thread that dared pushed near her in a gust. It was a close call, but like Sh'vel said... it was better to be lucky than to be good. She was spared the thread to the face, she'd take the hot ash anyday.

Wheeling around, the massive brown found himself able to tuck and curl as some of his more smaller and agile kin could do, sweeping around to puff out fire at the clump he’d managed to dodge and weave around.

If less than 22 feet, you get blown out of formation, but are agile enough to avoid getting hit with Thread. Hurry now -- better make it back before your Wingleader scolds you!

No sooner warned, than the wind kicked up again. Kaloth fought to stay in formation, as he had all day, but it was hard not to bend and tip in ways that weren't necessarily the right way. A particularly strong gust of wind blew his left wing back too hard, too fast, an a muscle that held the joint in place twanged. Yes, the next few days were going to be a wonder of soaking and rest. He hoped.

If a green or blue you find yourself struggling against the wind. The wind is powerful this high up, and you have to struggle to keep in your airspace. Unfortunately, a strong gust blows through, and you find yourself blown right into a clump of Thread! Moderate Damage -4 HP
The between the dark of night and heavy winds, Misuth was struggling to keep herself in formation. She knew the winds would be perilous up so high, she must be able to keep herself where she ought to be. As she struggled, and worked her way back upwards, Thread scored painfully along her right shoulder causing her to sharply cry out in pain. Sh'vel's shoulder twinged in sympathy.

Caironairth spun deftly out of the way, curling and spinning in a move he was more apt to doing during his weyrlinghood days. While he wasn’t able to right himself to sear down the strands he dodged, he’s pleased as another wingmate was able to catch his slip.

A few flames there, crunched stone there. Misuth was able to clear out a decent space in the sky. The darkness lit up by endless amounts of dragon's flame blinked through the skies. It was almost...pretty now that she and Sh'vel had more than a moment to catch their breath.
