"Amen to that." Van said as he slithered on ahead when Kai accidentally stepped on the end of his tail. "#@$%&!!!!" Said tip of tail quickly found itself in Van's hands while he blew on it to try and relieve the pain. "I think I found my equipment...." he whimpered, though in a slightly higher pitch than normal.

"Kai, watch where you are going." Mala said through clenched teeth and sounding slightly agitated, placing her arm around Van's shoulders and holding a clear look of concern once she was able to somewhat force away the intensity and stronge urge to cry at the pain. "Van, let's get out of stepping range. Now."

"Not my fault dad's slow...." Kai muttered.

"Don't blame me, I'm still learning, dammit!" Van cried as he continued to grasp his tail while slowly and awkwardly making his way inside, managing to somehow get upstairs, and into his and Mala's room. There he promptly coiled himself up to stroke his wounded tail and mope.

Mala sat beside Van, stroking him gently on the back. "There, there, honey. Things will get better soon. That or we'll find great ways to improvise." she assured him, using the sweetest voice she could.

Van sighed as the pain slowly subsided before easily moving around behind Mala to her other side, loosely recoiling himself around her as he gave her a hug. "I know, I know....I'm getting my powers back, I don't have to worry about old age again....And this is certainly not the worst thing to happen to either of us. That, and this opens up a whole new world of possibilities." he said, lightening the mood with a small smirk and kinky eyebrow waggle.

((That....honestly took a lot less time than I expected. More proof that my time estimation skills are utter bullcrap. xd ))

"That's the spirit! ...Well...sort of." Mala said, hugging Van back with a small smile.

"Well...You know....If you're into that sort of thing...." Van half joked with a sheepish chuckle, loosening his coiled up body a little more. He was pretty damn sure she never did it with a snake person, so last thing he wanted to do was make her feel awkward and uncomfortable. A rocky and uncomfortable relationship due to snake tail was the last thing he wanted.

Mala smirked at Van, looking at him as if he should already know her reply to this. "Van, aside from letting anybody else in on this, you know I'm always happy to...try something new." she purred, reaching up to caress his cheek.

"That's a relief. And here I was worried I'd be sleeping on the couch or something lest you mistakenly turn me into a snakeskin purse in your sleep." Van joked with a smile as he lovingly wrapped his tail around her in a close hug.

"You know me better than that." Mala said with a soft chuckle, offering a light kiss afterwards.

((HOLY s**t I THOUGHT I GOT HACKED. X__X I suddenly got logged out and couldn't log back in for like half an hour! I even changed my password!))

"Well, we've never come across anything remotely snake-like, so I have no idea if there's some phobia of yours I'm not aware of." Van joked before pulling her a little closer and resting his head against her shoulder. "Seriously though, I love you." he said giving her a kiss on the cheek, his tail making a few more loops around the pair in an affectionate coil, like a snake hug.

"Nope, snakes don't frighten me." Mala said easilly, smiling warmly as she held onto Van a little tighter. "Persistent women, on the other hand, scare me to death." she said with a soft chuckle, reffering to women of the past who have tried - and failed - to steal Van away.
