Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way.
Phylideth jerked his head back and T'mor practically felt the blood in his own mouth as the brown bit his tongue. Ow!
FIRE STORM T'mor of Brown Phylideth HP: 28/41 Status Effect: [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 3 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. It made sense he was...? Of course he was their leader! Phylideth had no time to fuss over his hurt tongue! He was the boss! Thinking like that is why I like you, Garganth! Phylideth sent back, though that opinion was likely to change the moment the bronze snatched away a pretty thing he was eyeballing during a flight. Hmph.

As you're flying, the wind picks up again, trying to knock you out of formaiton! If 36'-46', you're able to fight the wind with relative ease. Unfortunately, the nearby Threadfall gets blown into your side and haunches -- and you were too big to move out of the way. Ouch, does that not burn!? Moderate Damage -8 HP
Unfortunately Phylideth's ego kept him from bracing as T'mor had requested (T'mor was mad about it too) and when the wind came he flew threw it with no problem....but so did the clump of Thread that blew into him, causing the brown to hiss with pain - again.

You're so focused on flaming Thread that you miss a clump of thread blows up on the wind -- beneath you! If a brown or bronze, your heavier size does cause your tail to get caught! [+1 Between Accuracy & Minor Damage - 2 HP!]
While the pair lept away in time to not take any large hits, Phylideth would have argued his tail being nipped at all was bad. Ow!

As you're fighting Thread, you see your nearby wingmate in danger. You immediately blink between, falling out of formation, but hoping to save them! Roll a D4.
There weren't really words, more than a stream of thoughts that passed effortlessly between man and rider as the brown hopped away.

This is bad. Very bad. One of your wingmates appears out of Between flaming, but instead of catching a nearby target, they catch you instead. Your dragon roars in pain, blinking hastily Between! Just how bad is the damage? Roll a D4!
Farvath!
Fire hurt, as it was meant to, but it also made it hard to keep a clear head as the two jumped away. How would it be when they came out?

If you're a brown or bronze, take Moderate Damage -4 HP.. A little crispy, but you can carry on the fight.
Farvath rumbled unhappily as they popped out, a little crispy but otherwise fine. I've had worse, he reminded F'gon, mentally nudging at the man to make sure he hadn't been burned much worse.
A larger clump of Thread falls down hard and fast. Thankfully, your dragon is on top of it, and manages to hit the target with a large belch of flame just as it passes. [+1 Target Accuracy]
We do what we must. I promise I am still alright, Farvath said as he dove after a clump of thread, ridding Pern of it with little trouble. Hmmph.

This wasn't happening on his watch! Farvath blinked away without hesitation-

He should have taken longer to think about it, however, and that would weigh on the dragon for a while. F'gon, always a bit of a downer, would not be much help.

He was big and strong - but so was the wind. Yeowch! Alzarth hissed and blinked away, but his flesh still stung afterwards.
A patch falls down ahead. You dive down, flaming as you go, and both rider and dragon are pleased to watch it turn into harmless ash. This is how it gets done!
Alzarth flamed his next strand of Thread with vigor and a mild touch of fury. Vengeance, as far as he was concerned!

Alzarth had been a little too eager with his chewing and huffed with irritation when he bit his tongue. But it was part of the chaos and he'd have to live with that.
